Poll Question: I thought this could be beneficial to new owners, and owners looking to expand so I thought this could help. Since they are supposed to be in at least pairs if not more I thought lets gauge how much we spend in a whole for them, so lets g otwith the approx cost for two, this way if someone has 4 cut it in half, so then we can see how much they really cost us and please be honest Choices: 0-$25 $25-50 $50-$75 $75-100 $100-$125 $125-$150 $150+

Is this for just the gliders or monthly? If it's just for the gliders then I have spent (cut in half) 330 dollars on two and... a half gliders

but if it's monthly expenses then I'd say about 100 per pair.

On my gliders alone i have 7 and it totaled 950.00
but i spend 50 to 100 a month on them. Thank goodness i quit smoking and can afford my little critters.

I would need to know if that is how much a glider was.. which was 80 per glider times 5 so that is 400 dollars for the gliders and about 50 a week on food. so that is about 200 a month..

I paid $200 each for mine. I have 2. Monthly expense is around $50-$75. I use frozen veggies and fruits along with fresh.

Woops didnt know what you wanted. I put for the amount they were purchased for not for a month of supplies. I thought that the choices were kind of low for the initial purchase. I hardly spend any money on them monthly. Maybe $10 a month on food. Newspaper is free. Come up with toys from around the house or at thrift stores maybe average $1 a month. And spend extra money on electric bills in winter so they can have 70 degree temp. Ok that might add up some.

I voted wrong as well, was thinking cost to purchase the glider lol woops, I have spent so far not even getting my joey yet over 300.00 lol and I am still not done I am having way too much fun I think..>^..^<

Well yesterday I did a stock up and i spent... 25 on mealies, 100 at petco, and then fruit and veg and chicken and shrimp and that was another 70.00 so almost 200 dollars. I do that about once a month. I dont think that is too bad.

im sure i spend at least 125 per month but im guessing that is a low estimate.

I have 3 sugies and spend about 50 each month.

I buy protien (mostly chicken and eggs) when it is on sale.
I use a variety of fruits and veggies (mostly fresh, but some frozen for variety)
Every 3-4 months I need about $75-100 in treats and supplements so I would suggest that I spend about $50 per pair per month.

I only spend about 20-25 dollars a month on my two suggies, thats because I grow most of the veggis, and i have friends who grow most of the fruit, and I make the pouches, newspaper is free. most of the food, is already in our house, I'm only 16 so i still live with my mom.

I would say 15 a month on chicken, eggs, shrimp etc...

5 a month on yogurt. 20 a month on fresh fruit and 10 a month on fresh veggies.. and 5 a month on yogies...

55 a month...

Tate was $400. YaLe was $100. monthly, if i stay out of the fleece area and the dollar store, i would say close to $100 for food.

i spent in the 25-50 range monthly,on 3 gliders excluding all the costs which dont happen every month. I shop well, made my own stuff when i could, and i did get some home grown veggies.

for my starting costs for all of my gliders I think I have spent over 1200$ (and that was the costs of just the gliders and there cage) good thing I was a hedgehog hobby breeder at the time! or else I would of never been able to buy my babies!!! when I turned 15 though I gave up my hedgie hobby and got a real job lol.

I would say I spend about 50$ a month on mine, I havnt been ordering anything off of the internet though and that sure dose add to the costs, when I see something cute I HAVE to buy it!!. I only shop around for the nesessary stuff now or I would be COMPLETELY broke!!

i spent 100 on my glider my cage was free but i'm bout to try to buy a new on i make his toys i find this cheaper but every now and then i might buy some toys but if i was to not buy everything i saw that i wanted to make or get him just for food a month i'd say just 10 dollars

Dream on. If you are feeding them properly you will spend at least 100 bucks a month. They need fruits and vegetables and meat. You will not get that for 10 dollars a month.
