, I think an optimal goal for this article is to remove personal experiences and instead rely on information provided by vets knowledgeable in sugar gliders. An interview is a perfectly valid source. MLA citation style is very simple, just change the name and date of interview.

MLA says that degrees should not be listed in the Works Cited section. If a person's degree isn't mentioned in the body of text, then I think we should specify degree certification in the citation.

Interviews of different doctors by different people would help to eliminate any bias from either interviewee or interviewer. An interview on this subject is rather simple. All one would need to do is ask the vet "What kind of things should I look for to alert me that I need to take my animal to vet?"
If someone has already done an interview with their vet and posted that in the article, then the article can be printed out and taken to other vets to see if they agree or disagree, and if they can add anything else to the article.
If a disagreement occurs, then I think it should be handled in the following way:
"According to Dr. Smith .... Dr. Johnson disagrees and thinks that ...."
This allows both view points to be shown.
