Hey all! I was just going to post this image in my decal thread, however (being as this has nothing to do with the decals/projects I`m working on for my breeder, Gail), I figured it deserved it`s own thread! Then, I can update with additional drawings/works as I create them! I drew this piece this morning, referencing a picture I took of Tank and Mocha eating from their crock last week! It was done with graphite lead on slightly textured art paper. Hope you enjoy! :) (Note: Watermark was added after the fact, based on a suggestion from one of the admin. =) )

Mandy Glider MI, USA 111 Posts Thankies for the kind comments. :) This drawing was actually referenced from two pictures. Tanks expression looked better in the second one, while Mocha`s positioning was clearer in the first. LOL ;) Flutter Super Glider 205 Posts Mandy Glider MI, USA 111 Posts hehe, I like both of those descriptors; 'Awesomtasric' and 'Fantabulous'! Thank-you all, for the kind comments and continued support! I`m actually working on little glider cartoon versions that could be used in a comic-style strip (based on a suggestion from Kazko) right now. Will take me a while to get their design perfected, so I won`t be posting any of those attempts for a while, but it`s a work in progress! *Huggles room* You guys are great!:) Rach Face Hugger 626 Posts Mandy Glider MI, USA 111 Posts I have no problem with it at all... but as for creating the actual print for you, not sure what company on line to use that would give you then best quality. My artwanted portfolio offers prints (and other items, like shirts, mouse pads ect) that us artists can have our work etched on to. That might be an option, unless you know somewhere else on the web where we could have it printed? Or... did you mean you wanted the original? :) Mandy Glider MI, USA 111 Posts The original was done on roughly 11 X 7 paper... Your website is wonderful - I can wait to see more of your work! You are very talented from what I can see so far! It makes me feel very honored that you speak so hightly of my work! :) Here is the latest addition... not a portrait, but something I`ve been working on for the passed several days. I`m creating two characters in this style, based on my two suggies! This one is Tank. The one I do for Mocha will be more gray (so as to tell the difference), and really - in real life - Tank is more brown than Mocha anyway. It was created with my Macromedia Freehand program! Hope you like! (Note: Watermark was added after the fact, based on a suggestion from one of the admin)

It`s actually very simple to make the image look 'animated', Flutter... and the program I use, makes it even easier. I just use vibrant colors and what I`ve come to call, 'block shadowing' in my peices (some of the shadows have a defined edge). Had I blended the shadows perfectly (as with a realistic piece), this image would not appear as though it had been taken from a cartoon or movie. The solid outline I tend to use on all my work also helps with this effect. 'Glideriffic'! I love that too! In the website Dranger posted above, the company can actually create like, a 3-D mounted cut-out that you can literally sit on your desk or table! Talking about having this on your desk makes me think of trying that! LOL Thanks again - all! Your support staggers me! :)
