make sure if you take them in there cage on the road, take everything out unless it is tied down!! you don't want things to fly around the cage that may harm them. I leave the water bottles on and the pouch in. Thats all I have in it. I have a cage that fits perfect in my back seat on the passenger side. I leave a blanket over it during travel to lessen the noise, draft, lights, ect. make sure you have water available for them the whole time, stress and dehydration would not be fun while you are away from home. I traveled in the winter, so my blanket over the cage was also for protection if it needed to be taken out on the road. Usually if im not going for long road trips they sleep in a long sleeve t-shirt with it tucked in. thats ok as long as you are able to feel them and can control them to keep them from getting loose and getting in the dash. if you are not used to them that much, go with the way you feel safest for you and them. when you get to the hotel, you may want to consider keeping a light blanket over the cage during the day in case the hotel is louder than home. That would be something you would have to decide on your own on how loud the hotel is compared to home. have a safe road trip!
