Okay, it's not a real strawberry. We bought this for George. He likes to "chill" in the corner for a while right after he gets up in the evening. Some call it "meditation." Perhaps it is a psychological fugue state. Whatever it is, after he gets in touch with his inner joey, he's back to normal and heads for the food. We thought the plastic strawberry would give him a nice, cozy place to do his evening OM. Who knew they'd both like it so much?

The strawberry is from Petco.

i saw that one and the cake one the have oranges and somthing else..
but im afraid that all 4 of my bebes would try to get in there at the same time.. =]

i have a cocanut house and they love it, its got 3 different size holes, they love to be in there after they eat.

I saw that at Petco a few days ago! Well, after seeing all this, I'm making a stop there too. Going after a barrel of monkeys :) They look adorable!!!

Babygirl...wouldn't that be a barrel of suggies??? =) They are really are funny popping there little faces out of that strawberry!!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'd be in a fugue state all day without my morning coffee. I don't remember where, but I read that some gliders do that; it was called "meditation" in the piece I read. He seems okay otherwise, so I'm not concerned. I just thought that accomodating him would be the polite thing to do.

This is all conjecture on my part, but in the wild, I imagine that they probably freeze in place outside of their nest for quite awhile to watch for any predators that may be present. They really have no defenses other than a really scary noise. That probably wouldn't help them much against a bird of prey.

Darn it! I had checked on Petco.com last night and that strawberry was on sale for $2.99 but I was too tired to be "shopping" and didn't want to order just one $3 item so I waited until today and now it's not on sale anymore.

That is Corky's head and Sassy's tail - they were about 9 wks OOP when this was taken - they could not do this again a week or so later.

OOPS - that was the Apple they chose to sleep in - should have looked again a the picture- This is Corky in the orange a week or so later all by himself

and the poor ones in the apple are like wow i think we are getting fat..
and the orange is just to dang small lol so cute love those fruits and the cakes are cute..

Yes, that is probably what I should've said, lol. I meant I am getting both, the strawberry and monkeys You did give some cute visuals though! I haven't made it to the store yet though :( Baby's still under the weather and I don't want to leave her...

All very cute pics My girls like the barrel the monkeys come in. It just rolls around the bottom while they are in it and moving around but that suits them fine.

what type of animal are those toys actually for anyways???
