No she is doing the online schooling that the school district is doing now. It is called Virtual Academy of Wyoming and if she decides to stay in this she can graduate. She really likes it because she don't get picked on like she did when she was in regular school. On time when she was in 5th grade 3 kids shoved her in the building and no teachers or the principal did any thing about it at all. She told me a teacher seen it happen but all she did was close her blinds and ignore that it ever happened. I told her it is up to her if she wants to stay doing this after she gets done with chemo. So we will see what she decides in 2 years.

Well we got the pumkins ready for Saterday and I even got pics of Avis and her sister, brother with the pumkins too. Oh Avis dressed up Hannah as a witch and she looks so cute too. Enjoy the pics and let me know what you all think lol.

They are all very cute!! I have had the same problem here with with my 2 boys at school. They don't even tell anyone on staff at the schools anymore, they tell me about it. I don't believe in promoting violence, BUT, I do encourage them to defend themselves. I can't be there to do it and the schools are not willing to take care of it. I have ALWAYS told them to never start a fight and don't throw the 1st punch. I may be wrong in my thinking by most people, but that was how I was raised. I'll never forget my Uncle telling me that if someone ever hit me I had better defend myself or he was going to kick my a** when I got home.

Awww Hannah looks like "what the heck is going on here?" LOL I'm not just saying this to say it but Avis looks SO pretty! I mean, really!

I was just thinking the same thing about Avis! She reminds me of G.I. Jane!!!

Well every thing is going really good. Avis has IV chemo and CBC on Friday. She is not looking forward to doing that but she know it has to be done. I will let u all know how every thing went on Friday. Tell then you all have a good one

How are you doing?

Well everything went good when she got her IV chemo. Are you ready for this her counts went way up too. Last week her WBC was 2.6 and today it is at 3.9, her HGB was 10.6 and today it is 10.9 so her counts are doing alot better.While we were there they told us Avis has a surprise in the back. Someone brought her leopard cub that is battery operated. It purrs, meows, growls and plinks it eyes. She has been playing with it all day lol.

We had a scare last week. Hubby was told to shut down all of his wells he pumps. The main company shut there doors. but he still has his oil wells but we don't know if he is going to get laid off or get a pay cut on his check. So now been trying to figout out how to get christmas gifts for Avis and her sister and brother. Ok enof of bad news. I had enof of that to last me a life time. But with everything she is doing really good and her hair is really growing. Well I got to run but will keep you up dated on how she is doing.

Well every thing is going really great. Avis didn't have any problems with the chemo she got on Friday. She is feeling really good too.

But we have anther opps though. Kenna my 12 year old girl got hurt at school on monday but didn't know about it tell she got home from school so I had to take her to the ER to get her wrist X-rayed and turned out she has a really bad sprain in her growing plate of her wrist. The Doc told me that is the worst sprain to get. I guess that is worse then haveing a brake. They put her on tynal 3 for pain and put her in a splint with a sling. She has to keep that on tell I talk to the Doc next week or longer. So for the past few days I have had her home with Avis becouse of her being in pain and being on tynal 3. So can you say I been haveing a really fun week. I will see if she get to go to school tomorrow but depends on how much pain she is in.The school said they will pay for the medical bills on her wrist. So that will help us out there. Avis been helping her little sister out as best she can. she is such a big sister to help her out. But rather then that every thing is going good. Well I got to go for now.

I'm so sorry about your daughters wrist. God can help u come over the bigest of chalenges. I've been hearing that all day today about my dad and his cancer! Lol I hope she gets better and I'm so glad that Avis is still doing good and tell her to have fun with her new toy! Lol my little sis LOVES those things!

I'm sorry about your daughters wrist, but it's good that the school is paying the bills. I know what it is like with money these days....

Im so glad to hear Avis is feeling a little better and that the hair is growing back. I do have to say that I dont think Ive ever seen such a beautiful bald little girl in my whole life! Avis, with a face like yours, who needs hair!

You keep up the good work and do what your Dr's and your parents tell you. They are all on your side.

Well everything is going good here. Avis is doing really good and her hair is really growing in too. The last time I up dated I told about my other daughter hurting her wrist. Well I took her to a bone Dr. today and they put her in a cast for 2 weeks and then after physical therapy after that. Found out she don't have a sprain but her growth plait is damage.

With all that everyone is doing really good and kinda enjoying the snow. Well I thought I up date on Avis so you all know how she is doing. We leave next week for Denver on the 10th for her appointment on the 11th for her spinal tap and IV chemo. I will let you all know how she is doing when we get home from Denver.

Evelyn, what time are you usually done and do you head straight home after? I had mentioned wanting to try and get together but my daughter is performing in 6 pieces that day and ironically is NOT in Denver for a change. :(

We usually get done at the cancer clinic about noon but don't know yet if we have to take her to the children's hospital to see the bone doctor on her knee's. We won't find out tell we get to the clinic on the 11th.

Boy I somehow missed a lot of updates. I LOVE the Halloween pictures! She does look beautiful! And I love love love the pic of Hanna all dressed up! So CUTE!

I hope all goes well in Denver. I will do better about looking for updates. I do think about her and hope you all are doing OK.

Well we leave in 2 days for her spinal tap and IV chemo in Littleton Co. The weather is really cold here and it is not pose to worm up so we are going to have long trip with snow and bitter cold. We are going to take Hannah with us this time so she will have her puppy with her. She is not looking forward to this trip because after the spinal taps she gets really bad headaches. She is doing her schooling right now to keep her mind off the trip. When we get home on Friday I will let you all know how she is doing and how everything went. But I am going start getting stuff ready for the trip. So I will chat with you all on Friday when we get home.

We got back to town last night from Denver and everthing went good. They could not beleave how good Avis looks. I got some pictures of her that took while we was there. I even got one with her and Dr. together. I will post those as soon as I get them on my laptop.

so i am new to the glider family I have only been on here for about a month or so now, but I wanted to say that it is amazing the outpouring of support that everyone shows for everyone else. For Rita and Alan, for Christian and her little newborn, it is just amazing. as for you Avis my family and I will be praying for you and just know that you will get better very soon :) Evelyn if there is anything you and your familly need help with this holiday season, please pm me and let me know...my family and I would be happy to be santas little helpers>>>Ohio isnt close to you but I Fedex is so please let me know. Well everything is going good but Avis has been alot of headaches from the spinal tap she got done on Friday. We had a surprise on monday night. Well I know about it but Avis and her sister, brother didn't know. Santa came to the house to see them. The cancer center here set it all up. I got a pic of them with Santa. So here is the pic with Santa and a couple of Avis in Denver.

Avis I am sorry about your headaches. I hope they are gone soon. You are so strong and such an inspiration. Keep on smiling .
