I just got a joey! Gizzy is a female suggie that was about 9 weeks OOP when I got her about 3 weeks ago. She's AMAYZING!!!! She loves to cuddle in my shirt pocket and my hands, and loves for you to massage around her ears! I take her EVERYWHERE! I've been researching for about 3 years now and just had to finally get her! lol. I have been giving her about a tsp. of HPW along with carrots and blueberries and some yogurt (for calcium) every night, and she seems to be enjoying it! Is that an ok diet for her right now as a joey? She just started eating whole foods about a week or two ago. It's so cute how she holds the solid foods!!!

Congrats! In your research, you've surely learned that they should not live alone. Is she getting a friend soon? Looking foward to pics!

Yes! First off, I spend about 6 hours a day with her, and second, I plan on getting a friend for her soon! I just wanted to bond with only one first so it'd be a bit easier when getting another one. :)

Adorable! It looks like she is praying in that first pic! I also have a single glider in a similar situation as yours. I spend anywhere from 3-8 hours a day with her, and it has def. made our bonding great! Congrats! Where did you get her? A breeder/friend/online?

filly47, I know, she does look like she's praying! haha I know a person who's suggies' had babies and couldn't keep all the babies so I gladly took one!! I got all the supplies I needed the day before and took a trip to get her!

She is cute. She must trust you to sleep in your hand. Its sweet.

Sweet, sweet, sweet. My cat's aren't death cats either. LoL. The only problem I have had, is when cleaning Luna's cages one of the cats thought the bottom tray was a litter box and tried to climb in it to go potty. After shooing her away I had to laugh hysterically.

What a cute little handful! Gotta love the babies. Try giving her more variety of fruits and vegetables. Blueberries and carrots are good, blackberries and mixed baby greens are better.

she is very cute!! Just for thoughts it doesn't matter how much time you spend with them they still need a suggie friend, it is easier to bond with them when they are alone that is how I started out with my first suggie, but they sometimes will get attached to their home and it will be harder to get her to bond with other gliders the more she gets older, so the sooner the better.

where did u get her at. were looking to get one, were in Iowa and found one at pocket pets.com out of florida, they will ship to the des moines airport here in iowa, i just need some advise, are they disease free. i have a inhome daycare. just need your opinion

No! Pocket pets are incredibly evil! They are a mill breeder and flat out lie about gliders. They are in it for the money, and screw over gliders and humans alike!

DITTO, PLEASE DO NOT BUY from PPP and do a lot of research they will lie to you and have had bad experiences with them. A lot of their gliders are sold to young and have illness and in my experience with my friend her baby has died because it was to young and should have not been taken away from the family.

Your best bet is to look on craigslist you can find some their or put a posting up here in the classified section, someone will come up with one or at best two because they need a glider companion or they will get lonely and start to overgroom, self mutalate and eventually die.

Luann, I didn't mean to sound really rude or anything, but it is true. I also came across a pocket pet stand at a local fair and so wanted to get one from them, but am so very glad I didn't. Doing my research I found out they tell you basically everything wrong to do with them (example: you only need to feed them a pelleted diet (which they sell of course) and a small slice of apple. If you've done any research you know this is of course a lie!). Also they sell them to young and try to pass them off as the perfect pet which has no smell, loves everyone, requires little time, and is not noisy at all. Well they do have an odor, they can bite, they crab and bark, and they require lots of time and attention. They are completely worth it of course (I'm sure everyone agrees? lol!), but they are far from a 'perfect pet'.

I found my girl on craigslist, and I couldn't be happier! I got her as a baby, and I personally met her mom and her mom's pet (aka her human). I could ask any and all questions, and could tell she knew what she was doing! Please just look into other options before supporting a coorporation which cares very little for the poor animals that it enslaves!

Yes they will go to Fairs, Malls, pretty much anywhere they can draw a big croud so they can sell their pour little babies.Craigslist is a great way to find suggie, I got two of mine from there and they are very nice!!

I just don't see how PocketPets could be so horrible to their gliders. Sugar gliders are amazing creatures and I don't see how they couldn't love their cute little faces lol

It never ceases to amaze me how there are just mean, greedy people in this world that will do terrible things to innocent animals AND people, either.
