One of mine, Kiki, always has her tail up in the air curled over her head. Sometimes it even startles her. I call her my little scorpion.

Weasel thinks she is the boss and crabs at me when I come home from work and disrupt her sleep. Plus she is a very pretty girl! LOL.

Benji is a little chunky monkey who is kind of shy and very sweet. He loves back and foot rubs more than anything.

Tosca loves to groom and bathe me - especially my hands and fingers. She likes me to be clean! And she has a amazing coat!

Tilly is my tiny little love bug. She LOVES me and wants to be with me as much as possible. If I could take her to work with me, I would. She is good with my young nieces by allowing them to hold her and pet her without so much as a crab. A tiny little minature glider.

I love all of them. They are all so different..

Great Topic!

First the RASCALS COLONY - they are all 14 to 16 months old except Mindy who is 9 months old. They all came to me from their original breeders.

Sassy - she is my explorer who finds all the places I need to glider proof like the corner post of the shower stall that is HOLLOW and open at the top inside part of the frame! She also showed me that she could go through a bracket (1.5 inches x 3/4 inches)under the pocket door and into the wall! She loves to open things - especially the treat containers and the battery compartment of my TV remote!

Corky - he is the spokesglider for the Rascals Colony. When Corky barks - everyone stops to listen. He also objects to missing tent time. One night he escaped from the cage while I was handing out mealies. I had come home late and did not take them to the tent. On my way to bed I heard noises in the tent and found Corky in there playing all by himself.

Mehitabel - she came to me at 9 weeks thinking she was a little ninja. Her motto was bite the finger first then see if there are any licky treats on it! She taught me patience will win over even a cranky glider. She is actually shy but you would never have guessed that with her initial behavioral issues.

Missy - She is little miss congeniality! She helped calm her cousin Mehitabel during their first weeks here. She is my most gentle and calm glider whose favorite place in the tent is sitting on my left shoulder. When Mindy was crabbing and running from every glider I tried to introduce her to, Missy was the one she first accepted. After a few days together, Missy had worked her magic on Mindy and I was able to introduce her to the remaining 4 gliders in the Rascals Colony - as long as Missy was close by, Mindy was OK with the others.

Archy - My little guy who had been raised on fruit shaped/flavored parrot food until he joined the family at 4 months old. He is also a very gentle glider who loves everyone. He is the escape artist who is always the first one to pop out the cage door any chance he gets. He gave away the last glider escape by answering the barks from the gliders still in the cage - he barked back from my bedroom when the others barked to tattle on the 3 escapees. Sort of a glider version of "Marko-Polo" made him easy to find. He was the only one that left the glider room.

Mindy Lou - Mindy is a feisty little girl (my avitar) who made it clear she wanted nothing to do with the Animaniacs Colony. She is always up front to greet me when I offer treats. She likes to hang out in the tent and watch everyone play a while before she joins in.

And now the ANIMANIACS COLONY - my rescues

Wacco, Yacco and Dot came to me from Val (Jackie Chan's Mom) in Texas via glider railroad. As rescues, they had been in at least 2 homes before making it to Val's rescue home.

Wacco, is probably 1 1/2 to 2 years old. He is a fairly small glider who LOVES his wheel and his mealies! In the tent he likes to be under things - he crawls inside toys and likes to scurry under the quilt that covers the floor of the tent.

Yacco is about 3 years old and most likely is the father of Wacco & Dot. He is my tail carrier and loves reset toys. I can always spot him in the group because he holds his tail high and curled over his back.

Dot is also about 1 1/2 to 2 years old. Like Wacco, she is very small and her fur is a very light gray. Dot sometimes gets over anxious when I offer a treat and grabs at it wildly with both hands while trying to catch it with her teeth. She often over shoots and gets a chunk of finger instead of the treat. I think she had been teased with treats and she seems afraid I will take it away instead of giving it too her. Dot has come a long way and only rarely bites now when trying to take treats from my fingers.

Dolly is about 4 years old and is the newest member of the Animaniacs. She had been a lone glider for months after loosing her sister. Her previous owner no longer had time for her. I found her on Craig's List because I wanted another girl to join the Animaniacs (Mindy was offered membership in this colony and rejected all attempts at intros) Dolly is possessive of her pouch. She still crabs at the others if they try to enter HER pouch but for the last few nights she has joined Yacco in his pouch and they can be heard clicking happily. So far (only 4 nights) it seems like she will not let Dot come in a pouch with her but I hope they will soon figure out they can all share one pouch to sleep.

Razzle loves my pup Kobi. They go nose to nose through the cage.
Jack is a little scaredy cat. Sally's a little more brave. Tonight when I took Jack and Sally in the tent for the first time Jack stayed behind Sally so she would go out first. It was comical.

I love this idea.
Monroe- Monroe loves to climb on the non mesh part of the tent. She completely ignores the mesh. She is the more outgoing of the two and will always be the first one to pop her head out for treats. She likes to shove her whole head in your ear and chatter.

Page-She's a complete diva and crabs at everything. She's quite a bit more shy, but more aggresive as well. She rarely comes up for treats, she'll instead steal them from her sister. She's the biter, though when she does come up for treats, she takes them so gently. She's a complete daddy's girl, and prefers my boyfriend over me, even though he spends way less time with her.

Lessa: Is the boss. No doubt about it, she wears the pants in the family. She's the first one up and is chittering and hissing away until dad and kids get up. And if they're not fast enough she's go and poke her head back in the pouch to yell at them. =]

George: Is the calm collected father. He loves to explore, but will put his tail between his legs and just take it when Lessa yells at him. He'd rather be in my shirt than in the pouch with all those girls.

Toaster: Is the brave twin. She is the first one to do everything [climb, eat real food, etc]. She doesn't really LIKE being picked up but once she's on you she'll just run around sniffing and sniffing you!

Sally: Is a priss. She doesn't like to be dirty. She thinks she's a princess and is always the last one to get up. She's too afraid to explore when I take her into the playroom and will just climb my arm and go down my arm and fall right asleep rather than play with the rest.

oH MY, WHERE TO START. Wells Bells is (ducking so I don't get hit by anyone) my personal favorite. She LUVS to be on me all the time, and she luvs to let my baby hold her. He is so gentle with her and she is gentle right back. She grooms me and takes little love bites, not the hard ones, just little nibbles on me when she grooms my "fur".

Gremlin is just a sweet calm little boy. He luvs all of the rest of the gliders and is very protective of them. He has actually broken his soulmate bond with Bella and now has 2 bonds with her and Carly. Good thing Bells isn't the jealous type!

Carly.... oh Carly. Well, she does let me pet her on her own terms as she is still getting to know me, but she is def. the most vocal.

And Regan, LOL! She is our little processed blind demon. Just kidding. She is a spaz, and we luv to watch her. John is trying SO hard to bond with her. It is hilarious to watch. He is so cut up and bit up but he doesn't give up. He is determined that she will like him. He has some really thick socks and he goes in to catch her every night and he will hold her and talk to her while she beats the heck out of him. He really likes her and I love that. He has not really had a bond with any of our gliders since Gizmo died and I am so glad he is taking the initiative to try to bond with our little demon girl.

Oh boy lets see. Jersey and Panda are my two girls. If Jersey were a human, I think she'd be a tom boy. She's always instigating things. As soon as I let her out of the cage she runs STRAIGHT through the boys cage and starts marking it. She's not scared of anything or anybody!! If she's never met you before she will jump right to you and start checking you out. She's quite the firecracker!!

Panda is really shy. She's prissy and likes to stay in her corner of the room. I think that she puts on an act though because she WILL come to you, especially if she has treats. But you have to earn her attention!

The two boys Ziggy and Kiwi are what I would equate to two teenage brothers. They just kind of do their own thing! If you want them out of their cage they will decide they want to stay in and run on their wheel....If you want them to stay IN their cage they will decide they want out! You just never know with those two!

And my newest glider, Hercules. I just rescued him last night so I don't know him too well yet. But I can already tell that he is special! He's been through a lot in his very very young life but he still seems very trusting to humans! I can't wait to find out more about him.

Gosh, with sixteen gliders at the moment, it's going to be quite lengthy. I think I'll just go one colony at a time, so I don't bore everyone!

Molly--Queen of the Glider Room! She's very laid back and bonded. The best way for me to describe her--Earth Mother. She's loving and gentle with pretty much everyone, unless there are mealworms involved.

Hercules--King of the Glider Room. Very territorial of his colony's space; doesn't want to play nicely with anyone outside of HIS colony now. Hey, there are six of them, though, so that's just fine. He's a tough little fighter. He had to be to make it through everything he's been through in his life.

Buddy--My chirpy little Buddy! We named him Buddy after Buddy Rich, the infamous jazz drummer who had quite the reputation for being, umm, shall we say undiplomatic with other musicians?! Buddy was pretty nippy and bossy as a teenager. However, as he matured, he has turned into one of the sweetest, most loving cuddle bugs!

Lula--Princess Lula. Very sweet, very smart, and very fast! She's almost always one of the last back in the cage at playtime. If I try to lure her back in with mealies, she's so fast and smart she will often grab one and fly away so fast, it can take me a long time to catch her. She will wait until I get right up to her, then take off again. I can picture her say," Neener, neener, boo-boo!! You can't catch me!!!"

Mandy--Tiny little one. A fun loving girl who loves to growl at the feathered cat toy! Such a cute baby. Lula's daughter.

Amelia--You can tell she's Lula's sister, because her personality is very similar to Lula's. She is a bit of a daredevil, too. She's the one I'd vote most likely to glide off of the top of the woodwork on the glider room closet tonight.

Wavern is jump first ask questions later! She is so adventurous, and doesn't care if she can't land on something, she will try to anyway! This has caused her to glide into walls a few times! She can be super lazy during the day and I can tell when Vestral tries to move in the pouch because Wave will start hissing at her or crabbing at her! She needs her beauty sleep! She is also very protective over her new little sister.

Vestral is very sweet and loving, but the complete opposite of Wavern. She will only glide to something if she has been on it before and knows that she can safely jump to it. Vestra looks up to her big sister and will try to follow her but then get scared of how high or dangerous Wavern's trick is, so her sis will come back down and take it step by step to show her how to climb up! She is high energy very early at night! My mom calls her the little space cadet!
