I've heard some things on the web that are about "worm farms" where people with suggies can actually breed/produce fresh mealworms for their suggies at their own house.

Is this actually true
How does it work

Many people are breeding them on here. (I think)
But the only person I can think of right now that does is Kazko :)

I have farmed my mealworms for years. It is quite simple and gives peace of mind, knowing exactly how they are raised and what they are fed.

Yeah it's super easy, it just takes around 4 months to get big worms.

Here is my farm... it is very successful, and yes, as Catman said, it takes several months before you get to the "large worm" stage...
We actually make it a family event, and my hubby and son get involved in the farm. We think it's fun!

Here a few pics of our farm. Today is farm cleaning day (hubby's day off) so you will see LOTS of "skins" in there. Also, the baby food jars and cup are how I keep the moisture in the farm, without anything getting wet or moldy...







This is a walmart 7 drawer container, with 'extra drawers' from another, because our farm is so successful, we have TOO MANY WORMS and BEATLES! LOL

I have also had a worm farm for a couple of years. They are really very easy to do and not a lot of work. And you know where the worms you feed comes from!
