Had new babies On Nov. 3rd Twins Don't know the sex of them but they are soo cute. Now how much do I need to bond with them and do I need to wait until their eyes open etc. They are glued to momma and it's hard to get to handle them. She is being a great momma her first time and twins. Now do I need any special food for them when they start eating and when will they start eating? I make cookies for them with fruits, yogurt, and tofu with a few other things, it's a great recipe. Just some basic information would be great. I found it once on the internet but now can't seem to find it. Thanks! sarah

Welcome, Sarah, and congratulations! For right now, you don't need to worry about feeding the babies. They should be just fine, as long as mom is taking care of them. Just keep an eye to make certain that she continues to do so. I would recommend having a joey rejection kit on hand, just in case the unthinkable happens, and she rejects the babies!
As far as handling them, as long as mom is comfortable with you holding them, all is well. Please stay within and eye and ear shot of mom so that she can get to them if they start to cry for her.

My babies (Pebbles and Bam Bam) came out of pouch on October 25th and I have been holding them since then. I started out the first day holding them only for a minute and I have added a minute each day. Now when I get them out Mommy and Daddy play and eat then mommy will bark at me when she wants them back. Good luck with your babies!!
