Wonderful to see playing pics! I LOVE gliding pics, don't know how you get 'em?!

Lol! It's called you take about fifty pics before you finally get the gold! And even then, sometimes it's just luck. But you first have to have a camera that is quick to take a picture. I have a Canon Powershot SD-900, which is a 10 megapixel camera. I got it a couple of years ago. I chose it not only for the high quality image capability, but also it's image stabilization. Majority of the time, the subjects in my pictures are moving (horses and kids, need I say more?) and blurry pics is a serious pet peeve of mine. This was the best I could get without getting a professional camera.

However, LittleBit makes an excellent subject. The little stinker is definitely a mama's boy! If I put him down on something, then make the mistake of trying to walk away, he'll have none of it! He has made some pretty incredible jumps to try to get back to me, and his latest thing is if I get too far away for him to sucessfully glide to, he'll just go as far as he can, land on the floor and run the rest of the way to me. Which is saying something as he HATES being on the floor!

So, the night I took those pics, I set him on the chair and took about four steps back, knowing that he would make the leap back to me immediately. As it was, we did this about 20 times before I could finally catch him in mid-glide (he kept jumping back to me before I could even steady my camera) and then I hit pay dirt by getting two in a row. And since he's aiming for my chest, it tools like he's coming right for the camera. Which actually isn't too far from the mark, as he was quite curious about what I had in my hand. He tried to grab it from me a couple of times and wanted to play with the strap! Lol!

YAY! I have more pics!!

First off, a series of very cute pictures of Luna and LittleBit with my nephews that were taken on Thanksgiving morning. It was pretty funny to watch! Luna and LittleBit are so good with children... Lilo however hid in my shirt the ENTIRE time.

First up, all the pics of Luna with the boys...

This one is really cute. Luna has her hand on his cheek and is licking his ear...









This next one is of LittleBit going kamikaze on the kid! lol! I couldn't resist doing a close up of it as well.







These next few were some cuddle time pics... Both Luna and LittleBit have taken to sleeping in my hands in the past few weeks, and this was one of the times they decided they'd cram in there together. (What's really funny is when all three of them try to do it!) They are sleeping in one hand, and I keep my other hand cupped over them, but I pulled that hand away long enough to take some pics with my iPhone.


In the first two, it's Luna that you see the most as LittleBit is crammed between her and my stomach. I love how her arm was sprawled out and dangling in mid air like that!





In these pics, its LittleBit on the bottom, and Luna on his back, looking at my hand holding the camera, like, "Where did you go? Get back here and keep me warm!"






And this one is just of Luna curled up asleep in my hand.






Then, last but not least, all three of them in the bonding pouch peeking out at me while I was cleaning their cage.

Oh, there's always hope.

I admit, when I got her, I'd wondered what I was getting myself into with Lilo. She was half feral, hadn't been taught any manners, and when I could get her out, she would just sit on me, chewing and trying her darnest to tear a chunk out of me through my clothes everywhere she went... its now been weeks since she bit me and longer still since she bit me with any kind of force. She may not be as cuddly yet as LittleBit and Luna, but she's the first one to be at the door of the cage, begging to be let out so she can play... She's the freakin' energizer bunny, sometimes! lol!

You just can't give up on them. I haven't yet met a glider I couldn't rehabilitate with enough time and love... And there are moments sometimes with Lilo that make it all SO worth it!

Like, in the middle of the day, when I have all three of them tucked inside of my shirt, she'll wake up while the others are still asleep and poke her head out of my collar and just sit there on my chest without moving a muscle while I stroke her head and cheeks and she makes that cute little purr/click sound... that's when I can forgive her for all of the drops of blood and bruises she gave me! lol! She's the prima donna in the colony, and she knows it!
