I have a 5 1/2 year old glider who is alone and i feel I do not have enough time to play with him any more. He is very tame, loves humans. hes been neutered.

My issue is I live in California and I would love it if some one who has more time for him, and even better other gliders...to take care of him. I hate giving him up because I still love him and want to keep him but I just feel horrible thinking i do not treat him as well as i should :(

I'm not saying I treat him badly but hes such a great pet I think he deserves more than what i give him.

If some one is willing to rescue him for me that would be great. I'll give him away with his cage and pouches.

the only issue is I do not own a car, so some one would have to come to me unless I could find a ride if it was close. I would like to talk more with anyone would be able to help me out. Please contact me at mswayze@swlaw.edu

this is greatly appreciated by me and my glider (Booger)

Thank you,

Melissa Swayze

I live in Oregon and have sent you an email. Depending on where in California you are I might be able to pick him up.

I have emailed lucky glider...Thank you for that information. Vegas is not to far away it could possibly be a good option.

If there is any one closer that would be great. I do love my glider and would like to know hes going to a good home b/4 letting him go.

Melissa: I actually have a friend that is driving down there to pick up his brother. So he's driving there and back and I think he is driving through LA. So you wouldn't have to travel at all. Let me contact him.

Oh. I was wrong. He's going to Stockton and I just looked on a map and that's 5 hours from where you are. Unless you could make the drive to Stockton I can't do it, sorry! =[

Hey guys,

I still haven't found anyone to take my sugar glider. I REALLY need some help. he is a healthy glider who has been neutered and is human friendly. he doesn't bit, he likes to climb on people. But hes never been with another glider since i got him. It would be best to have him with other gliders. And I can't give him enough attention.

PLEASE some one help me and my glider. I'm not asking for money. I'll provide you with him and his cages and pouches.

As above i do not have a car, and i am in Los Angeles CA. depending on the distance i may be able to get a ride. otherwise it would be great if some one could come and get him.

it would be best if some one can help me out before christmas.

again PLEASE SOME ONE HELP ME AN MY GLIDER! it will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much,

if any one would like to contact me please find me at mswayze@swlaw.edu

They are Jedi, but that doesn't stop people from owning them. I see several people around with gliders in Cali.

Even though they are illegal there this person is reaching out for someone to rescue this glider. I would if I lived closer but the east coast is just to far.

I hope someone takes this glider that has a friend for him.

Thank you for reaching out to glider knowledgable people and giving this baby away. You clearly love him and want what's best for him or you would be asking for money. Good Luck and God Bless!

I am NOT condeming this person or their actions, I was just curious if the laws in CA have changed. If I lived closer I would offer my assistance as well.

in CA any animal that is not a dog or a cat, pretty much, is illegal to own. everything for goats to ferrets and sugar gliders. I did not buy him in an illegal state. i bought him in a legal state and recently moved to CA.

I do love my glider, if i could i would keep him. However because i am not from CA all of my traveling is impared by having him. and because i am in school i am not able to play with him as much as i would like. I do not want money I want him to have a happy home.

if i could find the perfect home just to watch him when i travel that would be even better but i know it would be best as a permanent venture.

thank you for your support.

I would offer to take him as well if I was closer. FL. isn't very close. But I hope that you find a wonderful home for him.

If there's any way we can get your baby to Stockton I'm still available to take him. My friend is already driving 8 hours down there to get his brother, so I can't ask him to drive farther. But if we can somehow get a railroad or something to get him up there I would be happy to give him a home.

the Amtrax train would be a good way to get to Stockton but the glider would have to be carried in a small bird cage. I rode the train alot from LA to Modesto when I was in Calif and is a comfortable trip

edit: there is a small bus ride through the mountains out of LA all done by Amtrax

how far away is stockton? I guess it wouldn't hurt to look into it. It would have to be after next friday (the 28th). I don't know if it would still be possible then. or i guess before this coming monday. I'm leaving monday for AR. I have some one to watch him for those 3 days i won't be here. but that is very temporary.

can you email me at mswayze@swlaw.edu

thanks,

melissa swayze

Well, here's a thought. Let's see if anyone is in AZ that could come get him while you are on vacation. You could then take him with you... Unless you are flying and then that might not be possible.
