were moving into a new house soon.. i went to see it tonight and the room designated to me is tiny!! its a 3rd of the size of my current bedroom my brothers new room and my dads new room are huuuuge but since my brothers have to share a room and my dad gets the master im left with a closet!!!! (thats what i call it) my bed will take up 2/3 of it.. its ridiculous.. however i want to convince my dad to allow me to paint the walls and floor in half the basement and move down there.. so i can actually walk in my room... also i have HUGE furniture... i am really responsible and i have good grades.. this is ALL I want for christmas... Plus there will be plenty of room for my gliders to live down there with me.. (we have a space heater that jss looks like a register so ill have heat down there) i get good grades too.. also in my brothers room since were downsizing and will have no room for the new plasma screen my brothers get the huuge plasma screen in their room and the xbox 360.. if anyone can help thanks

You just have to be a big girl and talk to your dad yourself. There's really nothing we can do and why would your dad listen to us? Just talk to him in a calm manner and tell him everything you told us.

i ment as in many of you are older than me and have gone through things and had more expieriences just like suggestions to me to help me talk to him or ideas to get him to listen to me

Sorry, it's hard without actually knowing your dad and how he thinks and stuff...you know your dad better than any of us! What you already said sounds really good to me! Shoot, I'd let you move to the basement!! What do you think his reasons are for NOT letting you move to the basement?? What are his objections?? Try to think of all the reasons he'd say no and be ready to have counter reasons as to why he should say yes!

he says he doesnt think he wants me living down there cuz it will be gross.. witch isnt true considering i've saved up enough money to remodel it.. and thats like his only argument lol thanks tisha :P im starting to make him cave
