Had a bad scare with Luna this afternoon.

I woke her up to play with her a little and give her a treat, and she was cold. When I got her out of her pouch she was shaking and could hardly walk wobbling back and forth. She just seemed very out of it. I planned to try a few things before I rushed off to the vet.

I held her for an hour rubbing her holding her to my body to warm her up, and she started to come around. I gave her some water from a dropper, and fat juicy grape. She livened up and is acting like herself. She'll be spending the rest of the evening in my lap so I can keep an eye on her.

I'm afraid her water bottles are not working and she got dehydrated. And also it was really drafty today where her cage is.

I plan to start keeping some water in a dish for her, and moving her cage tonight. I'm also going to go get some unflavored pedialyte tonight.

Im glad you found her when you did. Dehydration can cause death pretty quickly in a glider.

Get her some unflavored pedialyte as she needs some electrolytes in her system. Make certain you give her a drop or two by syringe ever few minutes to get her rehydrated.

Also, you need to get her some new water bottles. I suggest getting some glass Lixit bottles. You can order them from critterlove. They are a little more expensive but well worth the money. Ive had mine for over 2 years with no problems.

Keep us informed on how she is doing.

You can also check for hydration by doing the tent test.

If she isn't drinking try adding some apple juice to the water.

I went and got pedialyte, and she's taking it by dropper. Still shaken up by the whole situation, but glad she's doing better.
