Do you have an EXOTIC VET for your gliders?? If not, then you really should get on the phone and find one asap.
IF you already have an Exotic Vet, do you know what their hours are? Do you have their EMERGENCY INFORMATION? Do you know how they handle emergencies? Do you have their number in your cell phone??
If you already have an Exotic Vet, do you have a BACK UP EXOTIC VET in case your vet is not available? If not, then you should find as many as you can and put them all in your cell phone.
Do you know where the nearest 24 HOUR EMERGENCY HOSPITAL IS? Do yo have the phone number? If not, then you should find this out, too and put it in your cell phone.
Do you have phone number of KNOWLEDGEABLE GLIDER OWNERS who might be able to help you in case of an emergency??? If not, then you need to get that, too and put it in your cell phone.
WRITE ALL THIS INFORMATION DOWN AND PUT IT IN A PLACE THAT YOU CAN EASILY FIND IT IF NEEDED. Preferably in you EMERGENCY PREPARATION KIT.
Why ditto, I have one about a mile from my house a second one about five miles and third in Orlando about 15 miles from my house and the owner of that vet we go to church with so I have his home number, but only if I can't get to my main vet. My main vet has taken care of our animal for over 27 years, he also took care of my parents pets to. So I'm ready. Is everybody else?
P S great question Rita. Don't have just one have a couple just incase one is out of town, on vacation, busy with another pet, ect.
