My babies are now 2 weeks and 3 days out of pouch and I was wondering how long do you think I could hold them for? I have been holding them for 5 to 10 minutes a night but do you think I could hold them a little longer? I know they are nursing about every 2 hours.
Do it as long as mom will let you. If the joey starts to cry or move about put them back with mom. Try holding mom and the joeys and see what mom does. I held Maverick and Dakota everynight, it didn't matter if she was PG or not. And when the joeys were in the pouch same thing. I would hold them for and hour or more before mom or dad came to pick them up from me. It all depends on the parents. You'll never know till you try. Take a look at my album. I was holding the babies for about two hours while mom and dad played. then they both came and got them. You can see from the picks. They came to me, got them and went back to the cage. Good luck.
