I usually sleep till oh... about noon or so everyday. Well at 7:00AM this morning I get woke up to tons of barking and three wheels spinning as fast as they can. oh geez lol
Sounds like Molly's Playhouse!!! After we had taken in the colony that the girls were in, the sound of thirteen Wodent Wheels was positively DEAFENING in the glider room. I had the Genji tent set up in there for bonding, with all five cages against the walls all around. Sometimes it felt surreal to be in that tent with one group with all of that playing going on around me...add the red light in, and it was an experience you'd never forget.
Hey, at least you got an extra hour. Mine woke me up at 6am!! And they hardly ever bark since all three of them are together now living in the same cage, the little stinkers! But they are pretty good about stopping after just a few minutes so long as I don't reply. If I make that mistake, then oh BOY do I pay for it! Lol! I didn't realize they actually have a volume control on that bark until I made that mistake one night! :D
I use a red light bulb in a table lamp in the glider room. It works great so that you can see them, and the light doesn't bother them at all. I got mine at K-Mart. I believe my husband found this red compact florescent I'm using right now at Lowe's or Home Depot. Should be pretty easy to find them right now, since all the Christmas stuff is out in the stores.
our heat didn't work this year when it first started getting cold so we had to set up a space heater in our bedroom and my suggies got moved into there as well until my boyfriend fixed the heat. After the first night of him listening to the babies running and jumping and barking all night he had that heat fixed in a hurry lol.
There are many mornings when my 4 are still up and playing at 7:45am when I live for work. It makes me so sad to leave them when they are still up cause I want to play, too!
Must be nice 12 noon. I know what you mean Rita. I usually leave anytime between 0630 and 0700 and they are usually still up. The good thing is when I get home the next morning they are sometimes still up. So I get them out and play with them.
