I have only had my 2 sugar babies for 5 days. But everynight I have had them they ususally sleep until 2 in the morning and go back down around 7 to 9 in the morning. Well last night they slept until 6 in the morning and they are still awake. It is almost 2 in the afternoon! Is there something wrong? Please help me out, this is really concerning me.

Do you have the lights on at night or do you have the room really dark during the day? This can confuse them. Have they been to the vet since you got them?

The room is dark during the day. They are in our bedroom for now, and at night we have our tv on with the lights off. I have not brought them to the vet yet, I am looking for one. They, actually have gone to sleep now. One is sleeping in their wheel though, and the other in a shirt I put in there to help them get used to my scent.

If the room is really dark during the day it is probably confusing their internal clocks. That's what I'd think atleast! Try opening a curtain and a blind and letting some natural light in during the day. Normally, once it starts getting really light, they will go curl up to sleep.

But of course a vet check is always in order when they start acting weird! I'd pretty much bet that their sleeping habits are due to the room being so dark BUT since they haven't been to the vet yet since you got them, they need a little check up anyway.

It could also be because they have not adjusted to their new home yet. Our 2nd glider Clover was awke during the day for about the first week. I also totally agree with Tisha even now that mine are completely settled in if it is dark and quiet in the room they are in they will get up earlier in the evening. It is also a good idea to go ahead and take them to the vet for their check ups and talk with the vet about your concerns.

i would`nt worry every one and everything takes time to settle in a new place new suroundings and new people it takes time butit will workout ok your new suggies will bond with you and settle in to your routinne, do`nt rush them, let them come to to you in thier own time.

My lil Gremlin dosen't want to wake up until 3am and he is still up right now but he is very tired and falling asleep on me lol. I think the owner before I got him would play with him during the day cause he seems to like the day better then night. Also he is year in a half and he crys when I don't have the tv on or my lava lamp. I think he might be scared of the dark.

I wouldnt worry about it if they seem fine in every other way. Maybe they are just day critters. Just like some people are better off awake all night and sleeping during the day. Not the norm but I wouldnt think it would be cause for alarm. I could be wrong but.........
