Maybe try putting down a little dish for him and do the tent test to make sure he's not dehydrated.

If he knows how to use the water bottle he will drink what he needs. Gliders get much of their water needs from their fruits and veggies also. Be sure to change his water daily. It is likely he will drink more if the water is fresh. If you are worried you can check for dehydration by gently pinching the skin on his shoulder. If it snaps back down he is fine. If it stays up like a little tent or goes down very slowly he is dehydrated and needs more fluids.

I just read somewhere that if he has not learned how to drink from the bottle yet you can put just a bit of honey or yogurt on the end of the water bottle to encourage licking so he can learn to drink from the bottle.

Also make sure the water bottle has the ball on the end that's very easy to get water from. If you can tap it gently and the ball moves and you get water on your finger that is a good bottle. If it is springe loaded, and you have to push the ball harder to get water out then that water bottle is not good. To hard for gliders to get water out of them.

I think the idea that "our2girlz" has is a pretty good idea too.

Also - always have 2 water bottles in their cage at all times in case one malfunctions and leaks dry.

Check all water bottles daily to make sure they are working by tapping your finger on the little ball.

Yes...more than one bottle in the cage. I'm so paranoid about it I put 3 water bottles in my gliders Cage's.

When I put the bottles in the cage I make sure the ball rolls and water comes out. I check it from time to time. I notice that my guys like drinking from the same bottle. One a day is good for one glider, but one inch in five days is not good at all. You could try adding a little apple juice to the water.
