So a few days ago I saw a posting on craigslist for a 7 month old boy that came with his cage for 150. His cage is only two feet high and 3 feet long. It's been eating at me for the past few days. Although I know I don't need another one, I was so scared he would end up going to a home that wasn't very educated about gliders, and he would be alone in that small cage forever. So finally this morning after talking to the boyfriend I went on craigslist to see if he was still available, only to find his price dropped down to 75. Called up the guy, and went and picked him up today. His cage is a mess, he has dog food food in there along with some grapes. He doesn't have any signs of overgrooming, but does seem a bit overweight.

On a better note, he is the SWEETEST boy ever. On the car ride home I would put my hand on his pouch and he would curl right up into my hand. He's not crabbing, but just seems to want to play right now hah. I'm just anxious to get him to the vet, then get the 30 days over with so he can have some girly friends.

Must admit I didn't want a male because of the bald spot, but after seeing it in person it's adorable.

It is cute! And if you get him neutered, it will go away. Thank you for taking this poor little guy, he'll be a much happier boy soon.

Great story, thanks for taking him in. I am a newbie and haven't made the big purchase yet and had a question...I would love to make their cage as realistic/natural as possible but I heard that wood and braches will eventually smell...can poly-resin ornaments and playthings be placed in Sugar Glider cages? Is there any danger in using them?
