They are very pretty! I don't know much about the different colorations and what we'd call them. What do you mean by "one of our zoo gliders"? He's really pretty too, makes me hungry for some buttered toast ...

Super cute! From what I've heard the last one might be a cinnamon or a red/brown. I think the two are the same, just two different names.

the last looks like a cinnamon. but ive been told if they are that color they arent healthy.nico looks like WF from so angles. lol and Nala is adorable

*snusie* I worked at a zoo back home were currently military so were not stationed at home but whenever i go home i go back to the zoo an help out i've rasied some of the animals there:) there are 4 gliders out there that people donated but they don't get any attention i try to handle them when i visit but easier said than done ;)

The last one just looks stained. Maybe his color will change to a beautiful gray, depending on what diet he's on. :)

The first 2 look like standard greys. I don't know a whole lot about the different color variations, but below is a picture of one of our rescues the day we brought her home..she kind of looks to be the same color as your third picture. I wasn't sure if she was a cinnimon or if her coat was discolored from bad diet.
Here she is 3 months later...turns out it was diet related.

Is the third glider yours too? Is she on a different diet?

I think it's only if they were once a different color and turn brown that it's a sign of a bad diet. This is what gliderpedia says:

So it's saying that the color can change.. but there is such thing as brown gliders.

Suncoast sells Red Browns http://www.sugar-gliders.com/sugar-glider-colors.htm and they're pretty reputable so I don't think that they're just selling sick gliders.

If you look at this pic, he might be a buttercream http://www.freewebs.com/glidercraze/colorvariations.htm . Looks a lot like the pics.

I disagree Konotashi. I think the brown is a gorgeous color.

I agree. The people we rescued Sydney from got her from PPP, and only knew her to be the buttercream/cinnamon color that she was when we got her. Once they started researching, they were convinced that they didn't have a standard grey. The couple couldn't believe when they saw the pictures of the color transformation. It's hard to keep track of, or even know of any difference in coat color when they come from mill breeders, are passed from home to home.

The brown caused by bad diet is not pretty, but that's my opinion. I know some gliders do have a brownish tint, but the fur looks more uniform, making them look better. Stained gliders look choppy in their color. I over-examine pictures sometimes.

i don't think he looks choppy at all but it IS a zoo haha im pretty sure they get fresh fruits and veggies of course pellet food as well um i know they are in the same house with the kinkajou/hedgehog and the Agouti

Oh. A pellet diet is not good. That could explain it then, but I think his fur looks really consistent. But that is def a bad diet for gliders.

the majority is fresh foods the pellets are just in there :) i keep exoctic nutrition in my cage as well but mainly just there to have haha mine get spoiled with their fresh diet scrambled egg is a big hit with mine! see im just thinking thats the color cause the other 3 aren't that brownish color at all

Pellets would do it. Not sure if 'choppy' was the right word, but it looks different to me than a standard gray on an approved diet, aside from the color.

They are definitely cute! All of them! Like I said, I personally think his fur looks very consistent so I think your zoo as a buttercream or a red/brown. I love the one of Nala sleeping in your shirt. Eyes all barely opened like "Hey, I'm sleeping here.. what do you want?" Haha.

hehe Nala is the sweetest Girl ever my son loves her i have a pic of her sitting on him ill have to post hehe just took pics of dinnertime! post later the boy is just not sweet like her its funny i hope he comes around! that brown is just such a pretty color on the zoo glider we just got 3 bears im super excited to meet them!

I would love to work in a zoo. I dropped out of college to move and get married and thought I would go back to become a coroner. I've since been rethinking that to become a zoologist.

awww it has been so rewarding, i would still be there but i got married and had a lil boy hubby joined the AF so were in DE now but like i said i go back whenever i can i donate meat an fruits! BUT when we move back home i already have a job CANNOT wait!!!!

Thank you :) Nala must not be to traumatized i just spent 15 min playing with her in the bedroom. i open her cage an she hops right onto my hand jumps off my back an onto the tent :) i placed a fleece blanket on top of the outside an we she runs around there goes down one side starts to come down a pole an jumps onto my hand or arm its so cute. poor Nico is grumpy he crabs at nala tonight i really hope he cheers up soon im sure he is sore tho ill have to spend extra pouch time with him tomorrow.

ALSO Nala plays with me when she is out around 3am every night. she nips my fingers and hands tho not in a mean way i was just wondering if this is play to her?
