So I live near a town that has a place that makes Maple Syrup (Actually we even have a festival because it's so popular! lol) and at this place I can buy a bottle of unprocessed Maple Sap. I wanted to know, since suggies are sap suckers, would this be okay to feed to Tazz?

Whoa! It's very high in calcium, as much as 15:1. http://andersonsmaplesyrup.com/index.php?page=nutritionalinformation If you do feed them maple sap, please make sure that you offer only a very small amount; and offer some foods high in phosphorus to offset the calcium in the maple sap. Remember that too much calcium can be just as harmful as too little.

That's an interesting idea! Here I am in Michigan, and I've never thought of that. Be careful of feeding too much also because it might possibly upset his tummy...I know that pure maple syrup can do that to humans sometimes!!!

I was actually thinking about putting a little bit into his food or maybe as a licky treat to help with bonding.... definitely not too much though! I'll grab a bottle next time I go to my hometown and let you guys know how it goes!

I think that if you give him that, with the high calcium content, be sure to feed extra peas and corn. At least I think those are two high phosphorous content veggies.
