It's 2 TBSP of lean protein (eggs, chicken, turkey, lean beef, yogurt, etc.), 1 TBSP. veggies, and 1 TBSP. fruits. You just want to make sure you have a 2:1 calcium to phosphorus ratio over all in each day's meal, or as close to it as humanly possible. One way to check is to use the "resources" tab up at the top of the page. Click on "nutrition". There's a nice database of all kinds of foods...you can search for a particular food. If you click on the links, you can find the nutritional value of each food. You use the calculator on the page to divide the amount of calcium by the amount of phosphorus, and that should give you an idea of the ratio. Basically, you want the over all meal to have twice as much calcium in it as it does phosphorus.
I honestly used to do this all the time, but I just don't have the time to do it every night any more. I was starting to worry that by beginning to guess, I might be putting my suggies' health in jeopardy. So, this is a good compromise for my suggie family! :-)
