I'm absolutely ecstatic right now. Someone contacted me this morning about looking to rehome her sugar glider. She's a year old, and has a wonderful huge cage. It's perfect, this way after I do introductions Luna can move into the big cage!

I was in a tizzy at first when she sent me the pictures, because I thought she lived outside with nothing in her cage and I had to have her at that instant! But turns out she was outside cleaning her cage, and went inside to get the glider so that she could take pictures. I felt A LOT better about the situation then. LoL. But I still HAVE to have her.

Congrats! I'm happy for you! I, also, got upset at first after seeing the picture with the cage outside, but then I finished reading your post and felt a lot better about the situation.

That looks like my cage. It's very sturdy, but be careful when you're moving it -- it's just a little more narrow than the stand, and it can slip off if you're not holding onto things tightly. It won't crash to the floor, just tilt; but it's hard to get back into place by yourself. It's okay, not really big enough for three so we have plenty of out-of-cage play time. The stand is great for storing all your extra things. Also be sure that you push the door latches to the locked position every time, as curious little glider hands can open them if they're not locked.

I've been e-mailing back and forth with my adoptee's Mommy all day before I go to get her tonight, and I just asked her what kind of diet she's on. And

"I always have sugar glider pellets in her cage. but I give her one cup every night. i mix oatmeal orange juice apple sause and wheat together and put it in ice cube trays and freeze them and she gets one of them every night and sometimes i mix fruit up in it or chicken.. I ran out of pellets yesturday so i just give her some extra fruit last night. but she really loves anything lol I will give you some cubs to take home."

I can't wait to get her home and get her on a good diet!!!

OMG, what a @%*#($@!!! Don't get into a discussion with her; accept the cubes gracefully and throw them away when you get home.

And you know Snusie, I can guarantee you that someone told her to make those and feed them. Because she seems like she cares very much for this glider, and knows that she doesn't have the time to devote to her and wants to find a good home for her. So I respect that, and at the same time SO VERY GLAD I FOUND HER!

She was a birthday gift, and she knew nothing about the glider.

Sorry, when I read that I realized --- my cussing wasn't directed at the owner, just at the garbage that poor baby has been eating. Most bad diets come from ignorance, not meanness.
