My dads neck has been swelling and it was making it hard for him to breath at night. so he went to a hospital and they said a timer was growing on his neck. So he went into surgery and they removed it. Well they aren't sure what it is so they are sending him to oklahoma city hospital to have it/him tested. They don't think it's cancer but are not 100% possotive. So prayers are really needed right now. He runs a non prophit soup kitchen and has 5 kids and a newborn grandbaby. (just a FYI)

Well today he and my mom went to Oklahoma city to have It studied and removed. While he s u there I'm staying with a friend. They just left today and i knw nthing ast this I will update asap I promice.
Wel today I found out from my mom that he does have cancer. Luckily it is one easily treatable but he will probably need keemo (or however you spell that) we were joking around and mom said well we thought he was starting to loose hair now we know he is! I know some people might not think that's funny but my dad couldn't quit laughing. Lol he is taking this all really well. We thank all of your prayers and support.
I am so sorry to hear that you found out that it was cancer. Also so glad it is treatable. It will be quite a road for him. From what I have heard most people feel real sick from the chemo, but hopefully it will be totally worth it for him.
He'll be going through a rough time. I'll pray for him to come out the other side healthy and strong. And in the meantime, keep your spirits up. We're here for you.
Thanks guys. My mom called ant told me during school so nobody else could tell me first and I cryed almost all day yesterday during school cause they didn't know that it was easily treatable then, they just knew it was cancer. But my dad isn't worried a bit. Thank you guys for being there. Lol like somebody on this board (can't remember who) said "...they will always be there when you need them(you guys)".

I understand why she called you first, but that had to be a horrible day at school for you! I will keep your family in my thoughts.
I am sorry that it is cancer. But it is good news that it is easily treatable. I agree with Kyro - it is good that your dad is so positive. That does wonders for the whole process. Keep your chin up too and lean on us.
I talkedto my mom yesterday and she said they are doing tests to see what treatments he's gonna need, which meant he couldn't eatuntill tests are done well he was getting cranky because he wanted dominoes lol but they are doi g tests again today and he's doing good. This weekend I'm staying with my grandparents I'll usdate as soon as I hear something. Thanks for your prayers and support.
