Well, I asked a lady if she still had any females gliders left. She said she has some left. Then I asked why she's getting rid of them and what she feeds them. This is what she said:

"we feed a verity of food. i feed fresh fruits and vegs. at least 3times a week i keep a good cat food and then a mixture of small animal food, yogart raisins, dried fruits, and oats at all times. you can give them a little boiled chicken from time to time as well i do this about once a month or so. about every other time they finish thier water i will give them gatoraid instea of the water. they need a verity of foods for the vit. I am only re homeing some of them because i started with 1 little female and then i got a pair because some one did not know how to take care of them and now i have 8 that is just too many for one person to play with and handle every day.
i want the best for them they range from 3yrs old down to 3mo old. i will more than likely still have some of my babies when you get back if you are still wanting one if not that is fine too. i hope you enjoy your little one. they are great fun."

I know there's something wrong here (like the oats, gaterade, and catfood). But could you point out some good or bad things she's doing? I want you're opinions on if she's reliable.

I don't know..she obviously doesn't know much about diet. If she went from 1 to 8, hopefully, none are inbred. It sounds like she got in a little over her head. I would maybe ask if any of them have had vet checks or if they are inbred.

Protein only once a month or so!??! I do believe you should nicely talk to her about diet and anything else she is confused about, also recommend her to come to this forum since she is keeping some of these gliders.

Well at least I've seen worse diets but obviously this is still not meeting there needs.... but this definitely sounds like she started with two and they started breeding and she got in over her head. I would definitely give her this site and send her some links.... She doesn't sound like she is purposely doing anything wrong, and link she may have attempted to learn there needs but just got lazy and didn't finish her research. I say get one or two girls from her and DEFINITELY consider it a rescue!

UPDATE!!!:

>< I asked her "have you taken any of them to the vet.
Are they inbred?"

she said

No I have not taken them to the vet. All the babies are from one set of parents that is stitch and honey they have had 2 sets of twins and one single birth. So no they are not inbred either. I have spoke to my vet about them but no I have not taken them up there they have never been ill or had any issues with them.

Thank you,
