I bought two sugar gliders as greys but one of them has a brownish tint to it's fur. Is it also a grey but just a bit different or is it a lion or cinnamon?
I have a picture but I can't seem to figure out how to put it on here.

What diet are they on. I have learned over the past couple of months that gliders become what is called stained. They turn brown.

Both of them are on the HPW diet but my other still looks very grey to me. The one has always looked brownish. I thought it might have to do with diet but i have had her over two months and she is still brownish.

Two months isn't long enough for her color to change back to normal if the coloring is a result of poor diet. You are looking at 4 to 6 months most likely before you will see a change.

I have one who's a very light taupe, brownish grey with a light colored face. He's been on a good diet for a year, he and his brother had the rust-stained look with brown tummies when I first got them. His brother is a very nice medium grey, and both tummies are cream colored now.

To post pictures, first you have to upload them to your photo album. Then on your message box you'll see an icon that looks like a book; click on it and you can select the photo to post.

Have you had your gliders in to the vet? I ask because, as I sadly found out this summer, sometimes when a glider is stained brown, it can be due to other health issues. This probably is NOT the case with yours, but a little guy I rescued this summer was very brownish, to the point that I thought that maybe he was a buttercream or cinnamon glider. Unfortunately, he had bladder and liver cancers, which I found out about after he passed on.

Please, do not discount the importance of an initial glider check up. It helps establish a baseline for care for your gliders.

Here is a pic of their tails side by side. I now that th glider has been on HPW diet for her whole life so diet isn't the problem.
the one on the left is the brownish one and the left is the grey one.

Both of my girls are mostly gray, but my older glider has a brown tushy! She has a bit of brown at the base of the tail that lessens down the tail, and they are both on what feel is a good diet. I think sometimes it is just a genetic color variation!

Wow that makes me wonder if my Goose is a buttercream. Maybe that is why I could always tell them apart easily! He is lighter and a different color than Mav. He was the last one left and I saw the (mill) breeders conversing before they let me have him.
Not that that makes me love him any more or less. I don't care I just find it interesting and maybe he isn't. ??

Goose is in the bus Maverick is on the hood.

Here he is on the wheel for the first time
