The idea is to briefly let people know why to not get gliders for their kids. Please help me come up with some more images or things to discuss.

I might have gotten lost a little bit with rambling but I would call this one 70% complete. Does anyone have anything else to add to it?

Some of those before and after pictures of sugar gliders that were rescued and put on a proper diet should be an eye opener.

You could say something about diet and use reeps picture

img.photobucket.com/albums/v210/DancingwatersDesigns/gliders/6-2-05-1.jpg

you could put that picture that someone put up the other day about their glider being skinned alive:[ You could say they are fragile , expensive vets and other pets don't mix with them.

I would change "average person" too people with busy lives or people who would like a simple pet.

I agree with viciousencounters. There have been pics here of things that can happen to a glider. Somewhere there is a link that has all these things like abcesses and wounds from fighting and overgrooming. Adding those may be beneficial too. Definitely mention how expensive exotic vet care is and regular vets don't treat exotics.

I am a sugar glider owner and I have read over your post and looked at your pics. THE ONLY two thing you have correct is that they are exotic animals and have a certain diet they need and if you don't trim the nails they will scratch you just like any cat or dog. Sugar gliders do NOT attach people and bite big holes in you. The bit is like a pinch with no skin being broke. Could it happen yes if you have an older glider that is NOT tame they act just like any other untame animal. I am not sure what kind of bad experience you had but I am betting from your post you got an untame older glider and it showed you who was boss and now you want to paint a black eye for them. Get over yourself and the next time someone tells you the animal is not tame don't think your tarzan and you can tame it and not get bit.

Nice. Mine got flagged again within minutes after posting in Denver. I re-posted in Colorado Springs too.

Apparently the "entirely incorrect" article needs to be written to paint a nicer picture.
