I'm on my cell and the pictures look a little fuzzy but it doesn't look that bad to me. It looks like ita mostly around the shoulders and neck. Her diet will smooth those out at least a little. A glider can be on a great diet and still have crackly fur though, especially in the shoulders and the parts of twit body that move a lot. If a diet doesn't clear up her fur it might be humidity. If it ist very humus where you live try putting a humidifier in the room where her cage is! Hope this helps !:)

She has really not eaten much else but cat food and fruitloops for a year. I get worried the drastic diet change will make them both ill.

It's a relief that you think her fur is okay.

no all 4 of mine got a drastic food change and 2 were on pellets and the other 2 cat food. My first 2 look amamzing from the HPW now and the other 2 are starting to look better. It takes time though for the new diet to start working

Kylah, whose baby needs a drastic diet change? If it's Divins, then ours needs one too because their fur seperates when they stretch too.

omit kylahs said that because divins said the glider was on cat food and fruit loops and they are worried doing a drastic diet change will make them sick. so yes, she doesn't need a drastic diet change, but not because of her fur

She WAS eating cat food and fruit loops. She already has her on a better diet She looks great Divins. The cracking isn't bad at all, and it will go away more once she's been on her new diet longer

I made the HPW last night so I had to freeze it first (i think) So they'll start that tonight. I'm excited, I really thought her cracking was bad. Romeo didn't come out of the bonding pouch much so it was hard to get a picture of him. He's definitely a little worse.

You guys looked over mine and said they looked good, but what is it that makes the fur cracked? Is it too much fat, not enough vitamins, or do we really know accept for it being a diet issue? (Running to look at the fur again - just to be sure. lol)

It isn't always just a diet issue. Not having enough humidity will do it as well. Some people add a little Vitamin E to their diet to help. We use a whole house humidifier because Colorado is terribly dry as it is. Mine still have some cracking in their fur and I know they eat a healthy, balanced diet.

I wanted to put them in the sun room but with the hot tub in there I don't know how they'd make out with the occasional chemicals in the air. It was the perfect room because my lemon, lime and Orange tree are in there so I gotta make sure it's always nice and toasty.

Yeah, but I'll have to get another one to set near their cage. My Large one pootered out, now I'm using the small bed side kind all over the house.

Eucalyptus pellets. Period. He's the one that passed away a few years ago due to liver disease from poor diet. It was irreversible by the time I got him do there was no fixing. He was with me for 5 months. He was "3+ years old".
