My dad fixes motorcycles out of his garage and had a customer leave their motorcycle at our house in the garage attached to the house, the idiots left the tank open and so tank come home to find all the gas over the garage floor. The house is smelling pretty bad, so to protect my babies what is the best course of action? I keep their room closed and it doesn't **SMELL** like the gas is there, but what should I do??

I would open a window a little just to air it out (open up the windows in the rest of the house once the gas is cleaned up and the smell should go away:)

I've got most the windows in the house open and the fans going in most the rooms, just trying to figure out if I need to remove my fuzzies from the house until it clears up or not. Just in case I'm calling friends to see if anyone could glider-sit my two tonight :(

I work on racecars, and once the gas spill is cleaned up the smell goes away rather quickly. Did they clean it up yet?

We've been using towels to soak it up, but its still evaporating atm, any good ideas to speed up the process other than cat litter? (we used that to soak it up at first)

Real towels or paper towels? Yeah, actually try flour or corn starch - let it sit for 15-20 minutes and then just sweep it up. Then put that bag outside in the garbage -
