Up date. Took him to the vet on Wednesday. Vet said leg is getting stiff, in other words healing. We had it resplinted and will take him back in two to three weeks. So, so far so good.

YAY! I am so glad that he is doing well! Gonna keep sending happy healthy healing vibes his way!
No update. He still has on the splint. Plan on taking him in next week for x-ray and exam. I would feel better if he kept the splint on for another 3-4 weeks. He just will not rest and once the splint comes off I'm afraid him and Max will play way to hard and his poor little leg will snap. The plan is when the splint comes off is to take Max to the other house for a couple of weeks, that way Sammy can use it without Max messing with him. Keeping my fingers cross and praying for great results.
To pin it is 2000. and the area that is broke is not big enough to pin. He broke it right at the base of the radius and ulna. We should know more on Weds. next week
OK, Good news, took him to the vet yesterday. They took the cast off, the vet said it healed fine. We left the cast on for an extra two weeks just to be safe. Him and Max play way to rough. So we got home with Sammy and then too Max to the other house. That way Sammy can work into walking on his foot/leg before Max mess with him. The rest of the day Sammy followed somebody around, he just dosen't rest/relax, got to be going or with someone.
That is the best news! So glad you didn't amputate after all. I remember how it hurt when I broke my leg. Did he get right back up on it or just ease into it?
He is using it little by little. The vet said it will take a week or so for him to get full range of motion back. He needs to work the musceles and tendons.
Not to mention the sensation is probably heightened in it. Probably still feels like it's broken. He'll be fine once he puts more and more weight on it. So glad the leg didn't atrophy or the tendons shorten.

So far Sammy is doing great. He is still limping but give it time. Sammy just dosn't know how to relax, he is on the go go go. Max is still at the other house so in a week or so we will bring him back.
