hey everyone im new here, me and my girl got a glider. we wanted one for sometime and when we went to a new pet store last week we got one. we where ok with geting one and a cage but they really pushed the food, calcium , booster ,wheel, sand paper for the wheel ,treats. well we got burnt, the wheel is the one that will take there tail off so that had to go so i got a new one today that was another 40.00 . we found out that we have to mix the food so we got more food today that was another 20.00 the toys we got from the store was not right so that was another 25.00 last night. where so upset and we where told they need to go to the vet so thats gona b 2 vists . we have one glider and mine will b ready for pick up in 2 weeks. we still need to get another cage wich is gona cost us 150-300 more. im so made at the store im not sure if we can bring back the wheel/sandpaper and the othere stuff along with the cage. we spent like 1100 so far now where gona be up to 1500+. im so pissed

I'm really sorry that you now have to buy everything over again, but its something that most of us all had to learn the hard way. It really sucks, but just know that you are doing what you have to... to make sure that your babies are happy, healthy and loved and thats all that matters right now anyway.

Welcome to glider gossip! What kind of wheel did you wind up with? Hopefully they'll take back the food. Wish I'd seen this earlier. You can if you haven't opened the food and I'm assuming you mean pellets? Return it and feed boiled chicken or scrambled eggs, fresh fruits and veggies. No seasoning. Until you can decide on a diet. Take the toys back, get your money back. Buy some baby toys at the dollar store. Cat toys and bird toys are great. Feather teasers are so much fun just (BE SURE NONE OF THE CAT TOYS YOU GET HAS CATNIP. IT IS TOXIC TO GLIDERS).

Im sorry ur having so much to deal with. U have to really be careful of where u get ur babies. Many people will breed and sell them just for money and push alot of things at you to buy.

If u cant return the toys, maybe u could try to sell them to a friend.

I hope all gets better with owning a glider(s).

this is where we are at. we got that wheel known to take there tail off and the sand paper insert cost 42.00 or so thats goin back today. the food she is eating it its a pellet and fruit mix. we have tried to make some food for her with chicken baby food and her meds along with water and honey.i think the food part is gona b somthing where gona work at. as far as toys we got some plastic baby toys along with some bird stuff. where gona get a bigger cage and some more toys and a wheel that is safe. as i speak my girl is geting ready to leave where gona go return the stuff we got . oh yea our new baby wont eat the meal worms so where gona try something eles. kinda stinks cuz we pretty much are spending like dubble. to b honest its ok cuz just being around our new baby(risa) she really has boosted my mental state wich i been kinda feelin down for the past few months. cant wait for our othere baby she should b here in 3 weeks or so. the best 2000 we spent so far lol

They are worth every penny.
