If you use the Diamond Brand Dog Food, there has been a recall .

(I apologize for the multiple threads but my original one was posted in General Chat and it occurred to me that some ppl might miss it.)

I did use the diamond chicken and rice but it always tore her gut up. I though it was treats since the food was so good but nope it was the food. Once I changed huge difference. I now use purina dog chow. Perfect bowls now less gas now and she has wonderful fur and skin.

I use canned dog food for my english shepherd because of the corn in dry food and many other nasty ingredients. I'm not worried about gunking up her teeth, I brush them and give her rawhide bones.

I hope this gets seen by enough ppl. I know some ppl using VGV diet (as well as others) chose to give their gliders "high quality kibble", and if this is their brand, I hope it doesn't give their gliders salmonella poisoning. (I don't. I don't like the idea of giving "pellets" of any kind, but I know there are ppl who feel differently and I hope to reach that audience. Wasn't trying to be a jerk by posting in two different spots.)

So far, there are no recorded sick pets from this...but you never know.

Check the ingredients in that dog chow and then google Purina Rendering Plants any you may be surprised! I would post a YouTube video, but it's very graphic and contains images of dead dogs, so I won't post it.

We use Acana for all of my 4 legged furbutts (and the one three legged one). My critter brigade loves it and refuses to eat anything but.

I have worked for several pet food companies, and have a certification in canine nutrition. There is a lot I could tell you about a lot of different types of foods that would suprise you or just be very informative.

But back on topic lol, thank you for letting me know, it's not in my area, but I am going to pass this along through the rescue group vine as a lot of them feed Diamond pet food.
