How long have you been on the forum?

Maybe you aren't familiar with "goodbye posts." There are real goodbye posts, and there are "I hate you all. I'm going to take all my toys and go home, and you can't play with them anymore, because you are all a bunch of big meanies" goodbye posts. Which are made by spoiled brats who didn't get everything their way and are now gonna go tell mommy and pout.

You learn to tell the difference.

I've only been on this forum for 5ish months, but I have seen a couple goodbye posts.

What does a "real goodbye post" look like and how is it different? I guess I can't tell the difference because the last 3 or 4 goodbye posts that I've seen are all non-real.

LOL, she has a point Alden...

I think most of us, even when the forum gets to us we will just not log on for a few days until things smooth out.

I have seen one like Alden describes...the person just calmly mentioned that the drama was getting too much for them, for personal reasons, and just said a nice good-bye and said they would still lurk now and then.

That post was actually nice and many of us rallied around while respecting their decision. We didn't change their mind but we understood the reasoning they gave for having to distance themselves and it was as much personal as it was the forum.... If that person ever decides to reappear I'm sure he'll be welcomed with open arms.

But I also agree with Alden, I'm old enough and dealt with enough people I can spot the drama filled, I'm taking my ball and going home cuz you all are a bunch of meanies good-byes. Right, wrong, or indifferent, I don't have the patience to coddle those people. Maybe if I was younger and less jaded I would, but I've done my time dealing with people like that.

Some of us just don't get the chances we used to. My job has changed that but what I see in some of these threads is not enough to jump ship unless you're just too sensitive. Too many people wear their hearts on their sleeves and need to get a little thicker skins and roll with the punches. If you can't deal with this, don't get into business with job competition and deadlines and pressure or you'll never survive!

People people!

Judgement is judgement. We are all judging each other now about morality, reasons people make "goodbye" posts, creating drama, etc...

I have disagreed with people here before. Gotten into arguments. One example was valkriemome when I first joined. I didn't pack my bags and call it quits. I stayed and what do you know? We actually agree on something.

You can judge me about how much of a horrible person I am. You can tell me that I am less then decent human being. You can even go as far to say that I am picking on others. But you know what? None of that matters because what I said is still true.

Ok - that was a joke. And a sarcastic one at that.

The fact is, my memory is CRAP, and I also tick people off. I don't remember the people I tick off, nor do I remember what I did to tick them off. If they want to hold onto the grudge - that's ok for them. But, believe me when I say - I've completely forgotten it!

Here's a little tidbit I learned in life(the hard way of course) people can only hurt you or your feelings if you let them. Let it all roll off like dust it's my new motto it really works :-)

For one im putting a stop to this! You can talk about me if you want,but just so everyone knows i said i was leaving because i cant get stress out. For your information i have a bad heart that already quit on me three time's and i been told i wont live to see another month but im still standing and fighting for my life. After all that i can never have real kid's cause it'll put to much on me and my body cant handle it, let alone i have a rare type of blood.I was also taking out of school for passing out in i was only in 9th grade at the time.I had to be home schooled. Also I dont want people to beg me to stay or even ask me, Im following my orders that my doctor gave me. I also dont want anyone to feel sorry for me cause im here and im doing what i want, I didnt have to join this site but i did cause like everyone else i wanted to learn and if i need help i could ask. I still cant figure out how to delete my account yet. If you cant say anything nice to me or anyone else maybe you should keep your mouth to your self in let this site be drama free. I'm not trying to get anything started but if it seem's like i'am then i'm sorry,but this is suppose to be drama free and talk about our suggies. If i had known this would end up this way i would of save me the trouble by not signing up. There you know my life story now and the real reason i'm leaving.

Well I will say that I wish you the best and you are probably right in taking your Dr.'s advice and getting away from this forum, because if being asked to make your threads a little more legible is that stressful then you really shouldn't burden yourself with it.

This forum is not stress free by a long shot...it is one of the more lienient forums where we are all allowed to speak our minds and some do it a little more forcefully than others. And in all honesty no group of strangers' conflicting ideas and opinions is worth your health.

Life is not stress free. Why not just stay and post a little here and there? I mean really...if you have questions, contact those that don't give you a hard time about your grammar. You can contact me. If I don't know, I will get your answer somewhere.I just can't believe how anal some are being about spelling and punctuation. I understand her and I would like to think I use proper grammar.
