I took in 2 female gliders back in late February. The lady was no longer able to spend much time with them, so hearing from others that I am a great suggie mom, she drove over 7 hours to bring them to me. The girls have been doing absolutely great! When she gave them to me, I told her I would continue to send lots of pictures of the girls to her and she could email me or call anytime.
Well, this morning a received a text message. It was from one of her friends. The lady I got the gliders from had some complications from surgery and is doing really bad. They are moving her to hospice from the hospital and she is not expected to live. I was literally heartbroken. The text message was very sweet, thanking me for taking in the girls and providing them with such a loving home. I have been crying off and on all morning. I took a lot of pictures of the girls and sent them via text so she could have piece of mind that they are still doing great.
I apologize if this is a bit of rambling and doesn't make much sense.
I just found out that Ann passed away the same day I got the news. Luckily, I got a lot of pics of the girls sent via cell phone, so I am hoping she was able to see them.
The end of the text message her friend sent me said God Knew. I will still be sending pics to her friend to show her how the girls are doing. I truly do feel that we were meant to take in the girls. Thanks to all for your comments.
