its been forever since there was a thread about the Glider Gossip Facebook page it currently has 415 likes. the page is mainly there to give GG a connection through facebook. its also liked by the biggest sugar glider facebook page which has over 17k likes.

i made the GG FB page January 17, 2011. i really dont have any plans for doing anything more with it but if you have any ideas or just want to post something on it just go ahead and post it. its yours to do whatever you want(treat it as another part of the forum)if anyone wants to make a cover for it or anything just tell me. whats on there now is something i threw together on photobucket last year lol.

i had spoken to kazko about it before i made it. he allowed me to do it. its mainly to have a connection through FB since so many people use FB for a source of info. whenever kazko has the time to learn how to use FB or wants to i can add him to the page. but i never really put any thought into it being official or not.

^_^ someone donated a very pretty cover for the GG FB page. it makes my photobucket edit picture look sad lol XD

im going to start trying to post a question or some kind of glider info like every other day or so just to do something with the page. feel free to respond to it. today's question is what is your glider's favorite treat.

thanks :) i just posted a new question on the GG FB page since i had to post a new one on one of the pages i go to. somehow a tiger question came up and they said they had a tiger, im hope they are a troll. but someone says they are trying to get it since the person is getting rid of the tiger so who knows.

found something neat and added to the page. its a badge you put on your profile picture. click the link and you will have a better idea of what it is. the badge is something i just threw together using the picture i already had so i may change it later. would love to hear any comments you have about it :D

what do you think about the badges? ill probably make a better one today.

Katie got permission awhile ago to make it, but there is another Glider Gossip group out there that is a private/closed group that only certain people can join...not sure if that's "allowed" or not - that would be a question for Terry/Eric(the site owners)

In response to PetLuv's post: The other groups were created and Terry/Eric have full rights to do whatever they wish with them. I am not sure they have plans yet. They are private to everyone so it's not an invite thing - they are just not open. I didn't feel right putting them out on the web without the full mission and purpose of this site fully reflected and of course without their involvement.

If they choose to leverage them, then they will be up and I am sure you will all see an announcement.

I didn't see where I could be a friend too. Just that everyone else are friends with the group.

How many Glider Gossip FB pages are there now?

Call me crazy here - but I think if there is a GG FB page - it should be monitored and run by Eric or Terry. If they don't want to participate in it or run it - OK, but there should only be ONE. And to another posters previous message - it should ABSOLUTELY reflect the values and purpose of this site. I can't tell you if this one does...as I am not a member. This forum is open to the public...why wouldn't a FB page for GG be open to the public too. Odd. If they don't want to have one, then there shouldn't be one.

And I know I said it before - but at a MINIMUM...Eric/Terry should be added as admins on ANY page using the GG or Sugarglider.com name which would give them rights to deactivate the page and so forth. I do not think it's right for anyone to have a page out there without them having full rights of control. They wouldn't even have to do anything with it...but they should have the option. It's just...wrong and downright weird if they don't.

Just my opinion.

the GG FB page now has 467 likes and the group has 125 members. i havent been in the mood to do much on it lately. with being sick for the last few weeks(still am), going through a very tragic event that i would rather not talk about, and a few other things. but hopefully ill feel well enough soon to think of some things to do. :)

i probably posted this to late last night for anyone to see it >.< meant to post earlier but got caught up taking care of the garden. lol.

Feel free to suggest stuff that you think would work better doing it another way. I had asked earlier in the thread for suggestions and help. So please tell me exactly what you think needs to be changed, it would help a lot. I think what is posted there would help reflect GG better and GG relies a lot on its members to help take care of the forum.

Its not that they don’t want one its that kazko wasn’t interested in messing with FB so he let me do it instead. Lots of people/businesses/sites/whatever have pages and such that has someone else posting for their site.

Kazko knows I have the page and I have invited him many times to be added to the page when he wants. Its been up for way over a year and there has not been any complaints about it before.

Are you talking about the GG FB group? Because I have not sent any invites for the gg fb page. I just selected a few people from my friends list I think because you have to add at least one person to set up the group. Everyone is free to come join though you don’t need an invite. you probably were not one of the people I clicked on. Are you even on my list? I scrolled through it and you were not on there unless im getting your name wrong >.<

Like I said earlier im open to suggestions to improve things. I have never done a group before and really had not done much with it after making it I probably got distracted doing something else. Most of the groups I have seen are closed so I just went with that at the time. But if its better to have it open then that’s completely fine it just took 2 seconds to change it.

I really don’t do much on fb or at least I didn’t before.also the time line thing being weird and lots of people don’t like it. So groups seem to be better to use for this kind of thing. I had joined the group sugar glideritis a while back and saw how it works and stuff.

Sorry it took me awhile to respond back I had been sick around the time of your first post so I was in no condition to be writing something like this. Im still a bit sick but im a lot better now. I have very bad sinus problems as well as having something else happening. And 2 weekends ago I had family from out of state come to town and is staying a few weeks with us so I been very busy.

Why is there a GG Group now? What's the difference between the two? Looks like the group page is somewhere for people to "just have fun" and not necessarily discuss sugar gliders? I'm pretty sure Kazko wasn't informed of this new group that is directly using this forum's name but is just a place for people to "just have fun". You really should ask him.

Please, contact him and clarify all of these pages so he knows exactly what is being directly correlated with this forum. He knows of ONE...the first one I linked to, which clearly states is run by the same people that run the SGAA forum. Katie, if you aren't the one that runs SGAA, who does, since they are the same people that run the GG page you say you have permission for and run? Who else is admin on the Glider Gossip page?

kazko gave me permission to put GG on FB back in 2011. pages were a lot different back then and i didnt see much difference between groups and pages because i was pretty new to the fb pages and group stuff. so i just picked one. i picked the page because it seemed i could add more info on it and stuff. or at least thats what i think happened. already the group is doing better then the page. if you look at it there are people asking glider questions and getting help. but you can have fun at the same time and a lot of people on GG are friends so its a good place to keep in touch with them or even become friends with other members. gliders=fun i will re word the description though.

I know he gave YOU permission to start a page back in 2011. I was there for some of the conversations. As for the descriptions, again...you should ask him if he's OK with the description. I'm guessing no one noticed so much before because there was only 1 page correlated with GG. Now there seem to be a couple. I don't personally care about the description as much as I do that they are run by the same people that run SGAA. Who runs that, exactly?

i dont own the first two. but i am an admin on the SG FB page along with people like linda from the millbreeder project and luuluu(gg member).
i dont own SGAA it belongs to khigh. and rachel owns the SG FB page. having GG linked on the SG FB page has helped many people who need to learn more about gliders. it has been liked on it for quite awhile now. and i have it liked on the GG FB page to i guess be polite since she did that for me.
im not sure its been many many many months since i even looked at the mod page on there. i dont think there is anyone on it. if there is i have forgotten about it. there was never anyone that had wanted to help on the page.
