Once you choose diet you and your parents feel will be best for your gliders, you can order any specific ingredients and supplements, if they are not available locally, so you will be ready to prepare a batch of your glider's staple diet as soon as you pick them up.
You might also call local vets to find out which ones are experienced in providing care for gliders. It help to have numbers for a regular vet (your new gliders will need a well check up) and also one for a 24 hour emergency vet, because gliders are nocturnal and if they get hurt or appear to be sick, it might not be during your regular vet's office hours.
Getting prepared for your new gliders will help make the wait go more quickly.
