A large scale breeder that has a good reputation?

A small scale breeder (less than 10 pairs say) with a good rep?

A private owner who has 1-4 pets and had babies (oops babies or not)?

A person who bought one & then has to give it up for various reasons?

I have some of each...

4 from SunCoast
2 from small reputable breeders
3 rescue gliders from Val (SomethingToBelieveIn)
2 purchased from Craig's list adds - gliders just in need of new homes
And 3 born here (joeys of my two gliders with lineage from reputable breeders)

All gliders deserve to be well cared for in a loving home.

Thankfully in the UK there are no gliders in rescues. They're hard to come by so for us it's normally breeders all the way.

That's only 11 gliders? I know people that have way more. Heck I have 9, 2 I bought from pocket pets and 9 I rescued/rehomed to answer original poster question?

JeremyLexie - I do indeed have 14 gliders, you did not count the last 3 that were born here.

I have a mix. My first two were rescues from CL. It felt really great knowing that I helped them out. I have one from a breeder right now that Im trying to bond with. I also have two more coming from a breeder that were just born this week. I wanted some color to my colony so I got a plat.

So far I have 2 re-homed from CL, that is the way I wanted to get my gliders. I prefer rescue pets, but I can't say all my pets were, or will always be, but the majority has been & most likely will in the future. I can't say that I'd even get more gliders, the 2 I have are fun and I love em to pieces, but I really only realistically can handle just the 2 at this time. Not that I haven't thought how nice it would be to have a total of 3 to 4 at times, if had more space for them, but I'm satisfied with the ones I have anyway. Besides we like to go on short camping trips and when possible take a longer vacation (not always camping), bringing 2 gliders & keeping 1 travel cage for them is all we can handle with our dog for camping (haven't actually done it yet), and any more than 2 I feel would be way too much to ask anyone we know & trust to watch when we couldn't take them.

Rescue is the best. I don't mean from a rescue center that is caring for them - those have a safe and healthy home. Those rescue centers are great places to donate goods and money too. I mean from those owners that don't have a clue.
