Kylah said the other day that she left her AC running. I am referring to the fact that as of Tuesday late afternoon her house, as a result of the mandatory evacuation, has not had AC due to the fact that the Colorado Springs utilities turned everything off in the evacuated areas.

I was just saying we don't have AC, a lot of people in Colorado don't. It was 92 in our house yesterday, but with no real humidity it's not that bad.

Well, the interesting thing is that even with AC the smoke is coming in, especially at my office, which is 8 miles due east of the fire.

Kylah, make sure to give them a pouch when you give them a key or a place to locate one. Or probably better yet tell 'em to just grab the sleeping pouch and tuck it into a zippered pouch or small animal carrier.

Oh please please please let them be ok! Kylah, I had nightmares about trying to get the pets out of the fire and I'm not even in the same state! If I'm this concerned, I can't even begin to imagine how you're faring. I'd be popping Xanax like tic tacs!

I'm OCD right now checking every minute! I myself had a house fire so I know what you are going through!

The Chief of Police just said there have been no arrests.

I'm watching that too, they also said earlier they did. That one guy was pissed about not being able to go home and told the US forest person she has no authority in the city.ROFL!! He wants the to see the policies/laws that would prevent him to return to his home.WOW was he mad and he did his research, I see a lawsuit coming!

Maybe someone can clear this up for me..are you not allowed to take your animals when your evacuated? It seems like it would be safer just to grab everyone and load up. We've never been under an evacuation notice, nor am I trying to be judgemental at all. Just honestly curious.

What it amounted to for Kylah was a really unfortunate combination of circumstances and she did the best she could given what she was facing. She had to do what needed to be done in pecking order of importance and the animals who were left behind were at the bottom of the pecking order.

Kylah just said she is still waiting for a call.

Oh okay, I can certainly understand that. I really do hope she gets all the babies safe and sound! I've been praying non-stop since I heard about her troubles. She's certainly holding up a lot better than I would.

You would be amazed at what you can with hold in situations! Once your in that spot, it is just fight or flight! Survival just kicked in for fur and skin kids

Yeah, I can imagine that. I still think she's doing amazing,especially after I went back and read the rest of the other post. My son is looking at me like I'm crazy because I'm in tears, poor suggies..they are bra babies and getting a bit of a rainshower!

Our utilities are on. They only shut off the gas. 600 homes are without utilities and I believe that's in Mountain Shadows.

I'm at the evacuation center waiting like a woman at 4:00 a.m. the day after Thanksgiving.

Just got the call..they're on their way!! I didn't have a house key. They used my garage door opener so I KNOW I had power.

Here are a couple of C-130's that are fighting the fires. Usually these guys fly(while training) in a group of 3-4 and fly really close together.Sometimes they fly so close that you can read every number on the plane and see sky through the side windows.
