What do you think of this cage?

http://nh.craigslist.org/grd/3085901396.html

Seller is not home, but I have been chatting via texts. He said it is about 5ft tall and the spaces between the bars are "about" an inch. They look smaller in the picture though. I asked him to measure when he gets home. Anyone have this cage? Hes about 2 hours from me so I dont want to drive there and discover the spaces are to large.

I do not think that cage is 5ft tall.. It looks smaller.. What is your price range for a cage? There are cages out there that are large enough for a pair of sugar gliders, can fit accessories (i.e. wheel, toys) without having to question a craigslist seller. You may want to think about not compromising on a used cage and buying one new for a higher price. If you go smaller you will have to move them to a larger cage at some point down the road.

I currently own:

The first cage was given to me.

This is my second cage (which I bought)

Finally this was my very first cage I bought before even having gliders(now sold).

I like the second and third. I am looking to spend around $150. Is 36inches big enough for 2 gliders for a perminant home? I have Daisy in the small one from PPs. Which is really tiny. I am looking to get her a bigger one asap. I'm going to pick out a new Joey tomorrow night.

1 inch spacing is too wide for gliders anyway, you need no more than 1/2 inch spacing between bars. Your best bet is to buy one of those new ones you like, or shop around some more.

Wish you best of luck in locating a good cage.

I would say go with the second cage if that is your limit. I love the cage, it is easy to clean, enough room for a wheel (or two) The second cage is, pretty much, the minimum requirements for two gliders. I definitely recommend this one. The third cage was a good starter cage, but I've grown to love having two doors instead of one. You will have to zip-tie the smaller doors around the cage because they are the guillotine doors(not safe). If you browse ebay, and someone else might be able to recommend another site, but that is where I got my two. You should be able to find a cage that meets their requirements and your wallet size as well. :}

I am also into having a stand and not having the cage resting on the floor. Just personal choice...but remember gliders like to be up high the floor is not high, it is low. ^.^
