I have a lovely little mosaic female whose parents were owned by a gentleman who was transferred to Hawaii and had to leave his pets behind.
He didn't leave any information with the new owner about their lineage. He said they came from Florida and the owner's name was George Mills.
By some miracle, do any of you recall selling an expensive pair of mosaic gliders to such a person? They were reportedly $2000 (each or as a pair not sure).
If not, any help - a list of breeders in Florida, anything at all, would be appreciated.

Here is a list of breeders I found in Florida. Also try Googling it for more possibilities. http://www.sugargliderhelp.com/links/pages/Sugar_Glider_Breeder_Database/United_States/Florida/index.html

I don't recognize that name. Contact one of the breeders in the area and see if they know anything.
DoubleBoogey on here is in Florida, I believe?
I do remember someone posting about moving to Hawaii - but I don't think that was a breeder.

I couldn't find a George Mills in the USDA database so he's probably a small breeder. I don't know if that helps, but it covers one area of searching at least.

Sorry- George Mills was the previous owner of the parents, not the breeder.

If George didn't have the lineage, there is a VERY high chance those gliders were obtained on a non-breeding contract.

Nobody knows if George did or didn't because he took off to Hawaii and didn't leave any forwarding contact information.

Try posting a photo of the mosaic here and on Glider Central. There are not a lot of mosaic breeders - someone might just recognize the glider.

You know the parents?
Wait ... are you breeding these gliders? Are these gliders "the parents"?

No, I have the 4 month old baby from "the parents" and didn't know there was such a thing as lineage until after I brought my gliders home and figured out Pocket Pet literature was FULL OF IT and started reading about them. My first 3 were rescues (from a breeder who I later found out tossed them in a cage when they came out standard and nobody bought them). After reading about lineage and inbreeding I decided to ask about the origins of mine, the first guy did tell me my first 3 have Leucistic parents but then stopped talking to me completely. I asked the guy I bought the 4 month old from about her parents and he told me he got them from a neighbor who moved to Hawaii (George Mills). The neighbor tried to sell them and ran out of time, so they got handed off to this guy who didn't know anything about them. So I was trying to find out who she is. All are female so I guess it doesn't matter but I was curious.
