Can anyone tell me where you can purchase the plastic mesh or landware cloth used on the wheel to make a nail trimmer? I have searched several places and can't find it. We received our wheel today and would like to make one. Fred and Maggie should be really happy when they get up tonight.

Do you have sandpaper? All you really need is sandpaper, (the 400 grit came with my nail trim package, so think that should work) and little nylon bolts. If you want to add a backing to it like this, you can get plastic canvas that has large holes from a craft store and cut to size.

Here's a pic of mine.

Otherwise the stuff you're talking about is available at home improvement stores I believe, but I don't think that would work as well.

What I did was initially buy the sandpaper insert from the Co. I got my wheel from...$5 I think...but of course it came with the plastic screws. I now use those along with a roll of sandpaper for a powersander... I just re-use the screws and can change out the paper anytime I want.

If you have a wheel like the Wodent that you need to actually use some mesh and put the sandpaper inbetween....you can get the mesh at Lowes or Home Depot in the garden section. At my Lowes it is outside where they keep the fencing. It's called Landware Mesh or Garden Mesh.
