Mako has his first friend! His breeder stopped talking to me and he was getting very lonely, so I went in search of friends for him. I doubt I'll ever get the female I paid for, but I should've expected that paying ahead, I guess.

Well, in my travels I found those three neutered males I talked about introducing him to a little while ago. No sooner did I contact their mom than my mother calls about a little mosaic female whom the breeder was willing to lower the price for because she wanted Mako to have a friend. I practically jumped to the ceiling with joy as mosaics are my fav color of glider.

Several calls later and much deciding on whether to get her or the three boys, I decided to get both! I will also be getting her her own mate whose lineage I know from a breeder I actually trust and fixing Mako. Suddenly I went from getting two to a colony of 6. I'm so ridiculously happy at the moment. I plan on attaching my cage at the 3 boys' cage together via a tube so that everyone has plenty of room (both cages are more than big enough for 6 gliders at 5 and 1/2 feet tall, but I figure they'll be much happier with more space).

You sound like me. I wanted a pair and got a trio. Then I wanted one more (mosaic!), and I got a pair instead - plus one more. Now I have 6 too :)

I went from 2 to 9 gliders now in we always having a blast when it comes to play time.

She is so pretty!! I'm very happy for you, but even more so for all of your gliders!! I am sorry though that you had been ripped off, I don't remember reading that story, so somehow missed it I guess. Anyway, you got quite a nice size colony & sounds like your planning a very nice home for them all.
