Last night I noticed that Chip is attacking Ursula when they are awake at night.. like he will just across the cage and they make this awful noise. They are in a small cage right now the ones that PPPgives you in their starter kit. But it is only temporary because I have lost the screws to my large cage after a trip home. But they have been in my smaller cage before and they didn't act like that. Does anyone know of an explanation?

I'm worried about their safety and such plus it isn't easy to sleep when you have sugar gliders fighting all night and I have to make sure they don't get to rough.

last night I put chip in a smaller travel cage with his food and water and a pouch because that was the only way I could get the to stop fighting.

anyway I really need some suggestions.

Hopefully I can figure out what kind of screws to get for my large cage but until then this will have to do.. Ugh this sucks

Do you have both males, both females, or a male and female? A male and female, it could be them mating. A male and male, they need to be neutered because they can fight and actually hurt each other. Female and female, one could just be in heat.

Chip is a boy and Ursula is a girl. I am 96% sure they are fixed. I got them from PPP over a year ago and they have had several routine vet check ups. He also doesnt have a bald spot or anything.

Even a neutered male will mate when the female is in heat. See if things get back to normal in a day or so. Mating can sound pretty awful. Be sure to check them both after their little spats to make sure no one is injured.

They are both fixed. The female and male both are..Also this is only happening when there is food in the cage. It hasn't stopped and happens every night now. Sometimes it goes on all night and I don't get any sleep because of the constant fighting. I really don't know what is going on because nothing has changed really besides me getting a new cage set. Are there any other suggestions as to what could be the root of this?

Do you have them back in their large cage now? Have you tried setting up multiple feeding stations and perhaps offering their fruits and veggies in foraging toys so they have to work for it?

What cage is it? Maybe someone else here has the same cage and could tell you what you need to buy. I am sure any Home Depot would have them.
