My joeys are now 7 weeks oop. When is it time to add extra sleeping pouches? I only have one in now so they don't get left alone in a pouch. Thanks for the help!

I would say in another week or two you can put in more pouches as the Joey's are able to get around on there own good by now. If they get left in a pouch with out Mom and Dad they will be able to find them by 8-9 weeks old.

What do you mean by "find them"? I thought only having one pouch was about they're body temperature and that they can't regulate and stay warm before a certain age? The parents are young, first time parents (we had an oops), so I've been super over protective and careful. Will the joeys be old enough to self regulate and not get cold at 8-9 weeks? Thanks for your help.

I got both my gliders when they were 8 weeks OOP and they were independent of mom and dad in every way by then. Considering that I would say you can add pouches at any time!

I think it all depends on the weening. some glider ween by 8 weeks some take a bit longer. i think i would leave it just at 1 pouch for another week or even 2 so that baby can still nurse on mama, better to be safe than sorry. dont want mama to have a 'reason' to not allow the baby to nurse by it happening to go into another pouch and mama doesnt follow to take care of it. its still a little baby at this point.
