I'm still trying to figure out a good and accessible diet for my baby. I live in Japan, not many thing for gliders out here, starting from the cage, and ending with a Vet.
My vet told me a good diet would be frozen crickets and baby quail, with fruits and veggies.
He also told me she should be between 90g to 120g by the time she reach adulthood.
Now, a member in here already told me that the weight doesn't have to be that.
About the diet, I came across the HPW complete powder solution, I can easily order it on the net from Japan.
Has anybody use it? Is it a good choice? I was thinking of using that and frozen crickets, baby quails, along with fruits and veggies...
I want my baby to be healthy, and the diet choice is restricted considering the country I live in.
I'm also considering setting up an online shop for glider owners in Japan with the right things, that is once I have reached a certain amount of knowledge on what's good, ok, and not good for our gliders.
Thanks in advance, this website is priceless!

Just to be clear, I meant the "HPW complete" the packaged powder solution, the one where you just add water to it, not the one that you prepare and refrigerate.
Thanks

Having limited options on diets must be very stressful.

Using the HPW Complete with appropriate fruits and vegetables will work fine.

The HPW Complete can still be made in large enough batches to pour into ice cube trays and freeze. Then you can just pop out a cube every night and let it defrost for your baby's dinner. Fresh fruits and veggies are, of course required, but you already know that. Adding some crickets, meal worms, or scrambled or boiled eggs as treats is great. Just don't give TOO much of the treats or your baby might not eat the HPW (which has all the protein, and vitamins that your baby needs).

Once you've gotten that down you can start looking at Ca:P ratios and make sure the fruits and vegetables you offer have more calcium than phosphorus in them. There are lists if you go up to the search and look for them.

Good Luck! Keep us posted.

HPW Complete will provide all the protein your glider needs. You do not need to feed other proteins with it just fruits and vegetables.

Candy is right. Or you'll turn out like me having a 170 gram glider. Try putting 'that' on a diet

I had my baby for 5 weeks, she's 4 month and a half, and she still haven't breached 70g. I try hard to feed her at night and in the morning right before she goes to sleep... I always have her in the tent at least 2hours each night, so she get plenty of exercise. I got a hanging line in the tent with branches hanging from it and my old back pack, which she loves more than anything else...go figure
