Hey everybody, I just got my new baby just a few days ago. I was wondering if anybody had any hints or tips for me as a new parent. (:
Also, I was wondering if any of you trim your babies nails? Because my guy's nails are oh-so-sharp.

Hello and welcome! What is your babies name? Do you only have one?

About the nails here is a video of Ed from Lucky glider Rescue sanctuary showing you how to do it.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_2-wCceM-s

If there are any questions you need answered please feel free to ask them. What diet are you feeding? Have you found a vet yet? You may not need one now but you may eventually so its best to have one ready to go. You can find exotic vets in your area that see gliders by clicking the resources tab at the top. A drop down will show a vets option. There you will find vets that are in and around your area. You may need to travel for a good one so don't be discouraged if there aren't any close by.

Congrats and once again:

You will have SO much to learn but consider it an adventure! Don't expect bonding to occur quickly...it might but don't be discouraged if it doesn't! Read through the Gliderpedia at the top of the page, peruse the different threads and stickys and enjoy your new little one!!

My baby's name is Zuki.(: Yes, I only have one. I'm feeding him water, some juice nectar, some glider pellets, then some cut-up fruits when he wakes up. Is that a good diet, do you think?
How do I know when he bonds? Right now all he likes to do is climb in-between my shirts and curl into a ball and fall asleep. Does that mean we're off into a good start? He never crabs, but I think that's his personality. What I'm trying to do right now is just hold him as much as I can, but like I said before he just runs into my shirt and likes to sleep.

Sounds like your off to a good start, I recommend getting a second baby though cause they are colony animals and he will be even happier with a playmate. If you get a female make sure he is neutered first if you don't want joey's.
