Can I just use any old tent for tent time? Or do I have to use a genji? If there are other good tents can you please post a link for it?

You can use any tent you like or if you already have one as long as the zippers are secure so no one can escape.

The Genji is recommended because it is mostly mesh and it's easy for gliders to climb(the nylon parts are hard if not impoosible). and it pops up and is open in 3 seconds and you can fold it up in less the 20 seconds. It is definitely worth the money in easy set time alone especially if it's used mutiple times a week(some use their daily).

I had 2 other tents before I purchased the Genji and the poles were such a hassle to set up and tear down I wanted something easier.

The other advantage to the Grenji or any screen tent is they have more airflow so you don't roast in there!
I don't take down my Genji, just fold it and stick it behind the couch. Out of the way and easily accessible. It's a great investment.

I purchased a pet playpen and I regret it. It is wonderful for the gliders to play in but not very good for "tent time" with them as they are not really big enough (tall) for an adult person. My daughter gets in there with them (and pretty much has to lay on her tummy) but another 6 months and she will probably not fit well. I will be getting a new one soon.

good point Mamabird...the regular tents were a lot hotter. The Genji has great air flow!

I didn't get a Genji because of the size (and price after shipping). I bought the ABO Cat Habitat from Amazon. It should arrive tomorrow, I will probably post about it to be honest So you can get other opinions of course!

I have a regular tent. My boyfriend and I just leave it up in our living room. There is no way I would put it up/take it down everyday. haha

Wow where'd you find it for $27??

It was on ebay but the auction for it is done now. Shipping was $12 something and it ended up selling for $32 without shipping. It was a pretty good deal though! :)
