So tonight is a very sad night in my household. I caught Gwen eating one of the twins and I was so devastated! They were 7 weeks OOP. Can anyone give me any insight? And should I take Daisy away from Gwen? I am so worried and freaking out! These were my first babies and I am completely devastated because I loved little pongo so much! I just really need advice on what needs to be done now.

7 weeks OOP? At that age, it is EXTREMELY rare for a rejection to occur. It is much more likely that the baby died and the parents were just trying to clean up the remains. How does the other joey act? Is it eating (it should be eating solid foods by now). Do you have a scale that you can weight the joey with?

I would also recommend a trip to the vet ASAP to check everyone else out. It's very possible that whatever caused the death of your little one could be affecting the others as well.

Well we were trying to get Daisy to eat but she just didn't seem interested and she was acting very depressed which isn't like my little girl at all. I'm was just so worried because yesterday they seemed so fine. Pongo was always a little smaller and I just thought she was the runt of the two. I'm going to make an appointment with the vet to take Daisy in for a check up.

the joey may have passed from something else and Gwen was cleaning up th body as to not let it attract predators. They will do that.
