Please do not let your sugar glider and dog interact. Even if the dog is not aggressive, sugar gliders are like prey to them and there is always a possibility of the dog acting on instinct. Even if the dog does not intend to do serious harm, gliders are very small and could be easily injured.

Sadly, gliders get along very well with dogs' stomachs.

1. Malnutrition and any malady stemming from it
2. Dehydration
3. Eaten / Crushed by dog or cat
4. Killed by another glider either directly or from infected bite
5. Exposure to extreme temperatures

My dog protects the gliders. But it's his job to protect the free range chickens, the cat and the free range rabbits too.

Still, I'd never give chance a reason to push it's luck.

my first glider cat and dog I had years ago were all very good friends I didn't trust my cat or dog around the glider but she was an escape artist and there wasn't much I could do about it but in 8 years I never had an issue also the lady I got her from had 6 that wondered her house and a chiwawa that they shared a bed with so it is possible but still dangerous
